  1. I'm based in Ilkley but I often take my cars to Leeds and Harrogate area. I'd be happy to join a bash if we're organising one in the area.

Coreless motor, high voltage servo up to 7.4v. Used for a few months in my Tekno ET48.3, the casing has a few scratches due to rubbing against the servo mount, this is purely cosmetic, the servo performs perfectly and is one of JX's higher end units at around £50 new. It is very quiet and smooth. £25 posted. Specifications: Dead band: 1μs Working frequence: 1520μs / 330hz Motor: coreless motor Operating Speed (6V): 0.15sec/60° Operating Speed (7.4V): 0.12sec/60° Stall Torque (6V): 20.2 kg.cm Stall Torque (7.4V): 23.9kg.cm Dimensions: 40.5X20.5X36mm /1.59X0.80X1.42in Weight: 73 g (2.57oz) Connector Wire Length: JR 265 mm (10.43in) Bearing: 2BB Feature: - High voltage - High performance programmable digital coreless standard servo - High-precision Taiwan-made steel gears with hard anodizing - Full CNC aluminium Shell structure - Dual ball bearings - Waterproof

HPI Blitz rolling chassis. No electronics installed. Also comes with fairly recent Proline bodyshell, set of 4 Proline road tyres and a few parts. Upgrades include: - Integy aluminium steering bellcrank - STRC front C hubs Ideal for parts or could easily be made a runner. Price £55 , postage £5 to cover some of the cost or collection also welcome from LS29 or nearby
  5. The slash has a new look.I fancied a rally look so it now has a Traxxas Ford Fiesta rally bodyshell. With a bit of trimming this body fits well, it does have to have pretty big clearances in the wheel arches because the wheels don't quite fit inside the arches when the suspension compresses. Picture is without a battery installed. Also going to stop using the Fastrax eagle sc tyres as they cannot handle 3S for long, the rear tyres keep blowing out after just a few runs on 3S! I'll be using Proline street fighter sc tyres on the rear. The car is also running on Traxxas Big Bore GTR shocks, these arre much better than the HPI ones as they don't leak oul as much anbd are much smoother, they do need very thin oil to work well with the 2WD Slash though, I'm running 400cst front and 300cst rear.

JX servo. Not required anymore. The servo was test fitted into a car but never used. £15 including postage. 11. Another update to the car. I had known since first testing the car that it appeared to be too narrow for a short course truck. The Pro-line wheels I had fitted before were a set I had bought from ebay where somebody had obviously bought wheels/tyres separately. The wheels had almost no offset so they resulted in the car being quite a lot narrower track width than a standard SC truck. I have fitted some Fastrax Eagle SC on-road wheels/tyres to rectify this as they have the correct amount of offset. This makes the car look better as well as significantly improves the handling and makes the car roll over less frequently when cornering hard. Also fitted the Pro-line performance transmission that I had ordered. The purpose of this was to have a more reliable and better performing diff in the transmission. The new gearbox is silky smooth and quiet and hopefully will last a long time because it was very expensive! Next on the upgrades list is to fit the Slash 4x4 steering bellcrank that I have and replace the HPI shocks with Traxxas GTR's.
  12. Update to the build. It's been a long time since the last update but anyway... I have finished the main build of the car for now. It has taken a lot of testing and tuning to get it to where I wanted it. Here is what it looks like now. new body has been painted since last update and I have proline extended body mounts fitted. The car still needs improvment as I would like to increase the track width to help stability and the diff keeps shredding the planetary gears; despite having a hot racing aluminium diff case! I am looking into either a proline performance transmission or FLM aluminium transmisson with their 'super diff' either should make for a stronger diff and gearbox setup. I also have a slash 4x4 steering bellcrank to fit for better steering precision and geometry and I will be considering some proline pro-spec or powerstroke shocks to replace the HPI Blitz shocks. The car does 44mph on 2S and 64mph on 3S so it's plenty quick considering this is not a speed run build.

This item is new. I bought it for another car but it didn't fit. Never been fitted and comes with the screw washers. Part number AR480002 £10 including postage.
  16. I would say 1m in the centre will be too thick and will make it really hard to drive because the car will constantly want to wheelie with so much torque from that motor. I would go for 500k instead. And front and rear can be more like 50k front and 10k rear. If you make the front and rear oils too thick the car will handle poorly and won't want to turn very well off power.
  17. @jjl5590 Looks good, nice neat install. But the question is, can it do 70mph on grass! I would be sceptical. You will definitely need new tyres soon, and I would advise using fishing line to belt them. Also I would put thicker diff oil in , definetely on the centre and front diff otherwise the diffs will overheat and cause problems.

Think so. I sent him a PM months back and never got a reply.
  19. HPI haven’t been doing well financially for a while now. There does seem seem to be some hope though...
  20. Spur gears are out of stock pretty much globally. You will find it very hard to get one. Did you not look at the specs for the servo? There are better servos available. I would look at a JX servo from banggood.com Look for one that is at least 0.12 sec or faster. I have a JX servo that's 23kg and 0.10 speed which is very good although it is one of their more expensive models (~£50)
  21. Sorry for not being very helpful earlier. Here are are some recommendations for you: https://www.modelsport.co.uk/overlander-supersport-7-4v-5000mah-35c-lipo-pack-no-con-/rc-car-products/378702 https://www.modelsport.co.uk/peak-power-plant-lipo-2s-7-4v-5000mah-45c-deans/rc-car-products/405504 and for a charger: https://www.modelsport.co.uk/overlander-rc-s60-ac-charger-60w-6a/rc-car-products/397480 The overlander battery would require modelsport connector service which is £5 you can ask them to solder a Traxxas connector on. The absima battery has a deans connector so you could either ask modelsport to remove it and change it to a Traxxas connector or buy a deans to Traxxas adapter which are very cheap. The charger cannot be beaten beaten for the money and overlander are a good well respected brand. Hope you find find this useful. If you need any more help please PM me.
  22. https://www.modelsport.co.uk/electric-power/rc-car/9920 Look for a 2S lipo battery which is around 5000mah 30c or higher. Ideally choose one that already has a traxxas connector. And for charger. Look for a lipo charger with at least 50w of power.
