  1. By the time I’ve messed about with spares for this I wouldn’t be far off cost wise an xmaxx. Just the cost of the batteries is a bit of hard one to swallow
  2. Could do, but it’s currently in pieces and seeing if tekno will help me out on cost of repairs. Hate to say it, I’ve used traxxas models that were tougher than this.
  3. Yes. First run bent centre drive, broke two spider gears in the centre diff, bust two shock ends, and the rear bulk spat the bearing out ruining my ring and pinion. Pretty gutted for what I paid, in hindsight I should of bought a cheaper roller, or maybe do what AJ did and not run it stock at all
  4. It may actually be my fault with the mt410 as I was under the impression if I didn't beat on it, I could run it stock. To get it to where it needs to be imo, it needs another 200 spend on it, which brings it to £600. with no wheels/tires/body. It almost seems, imo, its a 1/10 truck and running gear, that can take 1/8 electrics. Again that's my mistake, as the clue is in the name, MT410. The chassis has to much flex, bumpers are useless, and its just not strong enough for the price point. I remember seeing the EXB roller, and in hindsight for me that may have been the better purchase. How are they holding up generally in regards to the chassis bends etc? When you say may need 6s, is that due to weight etc?
  5. I had a hyper ss and it bent dog bones easily. My hyper vs has been an absolute tank and handles well. Shame hobao don’t do a truggy based off the hyper VS
  6. Looking for a decent truggy/truck, preferably 1/8 th. Recently bought a mt410 but not finding it up to much without dropping another £200 into it. is there anything similar to maybe a hyper ST truggy, but maybe a bit newer? only running 4s.
  7. is there anywhere in europe with these in stock AJ?
  8. my first proper run didnt go that well. My old electrics seemed to have some issues, so can see a new setup going in there at some point. I bent two front driveshafts, the grub screw for the rear drive cup came loose even with red thread lock, the bearing pushed through the bulkhead, and the bulkhead bearing ring was destroyed. Ive only just seen there is an updated bulkhead with larger bearings which ive now ordered and will try some serrated grub screws
  9. Very. Coming from closed garden spektrum, it’s powerful but can be very confusing/frustrating.
  10. Yes it’s a lot to get my head round. I’ve been using a taranis x9d for 6 years and still struggle a bit with open tx, but this is easier to navigate.
  11. Cant go wrong with a hobbywing setup, ive always found 2s plenty on the firestorm, check out the flysky gt5 as well.
  12. Pretty sure I went with it as I saw yours!!
  13. Just finished up my tekno. Little nod to the savage.
  14. Traxxas E Maxx wheel and tires, hexes in good condition as are tires. £22 posted sold Kyosho inferno Heavy Duty spiral cut diff in diff cases etc. The diff spider gears are missing from inside. £25 posted 2 x used hpi gt550 motors, £17posted 2 x used traxxas Titan 550 monster motors £25 posted speedpassion 9.5/19t sensored motor. Very little use £20 posted.
  15. Mines a ghetto build compared to yours 🤣
  16. where did you get the backlips, and use the arrma wheels as well?
  17. I’m leaning towards a flysky gt5 now...
  18. https://www.modelsport.co.uk/sanwa-mt-s-radio-set/rc-car-products/404759 like the look of this, but 60 quid for a rx
  19. bump on this, my dx4s is getting on and giving a few issues. I was leaning towards the flysky gt5, then i saw the noble, but i do like futaba/sanwa stuff, but the price of the receivers puts me off. Any input appreciated!
  20. Duratrax warhammer was a similar not great take at a savage. When the savage was released think how durable it was compared to the tmaxx etc.
