Thanks .My main interest is scale and crawling so out right speed of control isn't everything but the extra aux channels for crawlers.

That goolRC is unbelievably cheap even makes Flysky look expensive😁 I thought there would be more support for Spektrum kit.

Need to update the my radio gear to cover my crawlers and various others I tend to use either the RTR or a hobbyking GT2B. My list so far is Spektrum DX5C or GT5 Turnigy or possibly the rugged DX5 but the reviews are not all positive ref the touch screen and that seems expensive over the 5C. Could anyone give any feedback or any other suggestions? Thanks

Once you get into RC of any sort you tend to stay or at least keep an interest even if you don't actually own any. I used to worry about age (50)but I don't care anymore as long as I enjoy it. Scouts are what got me into rock crawling and I am you will have fun and being looking at TRX4's etc

I didn't know SSD were British always assumed they were American for some reason. Would SSD00198 Portal Weights be a good choice or are these actually portal covers?

Had my Sport for a few months and looking to bring the c of g and some weight lower down via brass portal covers. The problem is the market saturated with different makes like SSD,HR,Samix,MFR,Yeah to name but a few. Does anyone have any recommendations I guess the Fastrax ones are rebranded generic ones?

This is how I understand it the builders kit uses the 'LCX' trans which is update of the original 3 speed ,the complete kit uses a completely different trans designed with a two speed option which had issues with sloppy axial top shaft hence Vanquish replacement. The Harvey designs and SBG videos on youtube explain the differences.
