      I'm sure Modelsport would price match 🙂 Agreed about the hyper 10 handling. The MT10 looks to handle pretty good but it's been advised to turn the brakes down as they're too strong. I'd personally swap out the esc for a Hobbywing MAX10 at some point from more adjustment than the stock esc.

      I do really like the Hyper 10 TT having owned one before but the cost of the MT10 and it being rtr is more appealing. I have a decent servo for it spare and have my own radio gear to swap out. I would sell the stock radio gear and servo.

    Gah I can’t decide. MT10 on 2s, MT8, widemaxx, outcast on 5s or just bite the bullet and finally get the dream rc - namely an xmaxx. I’ve wanted a 1/5 mt for like forever - ever since I first saw a fg monster beetle 😵‍💫

     

    Any other single pack MT’s I should be looking at?

      I'm pretty much sold on the MT10 from all the reviews and videos I've watched. I did really fancy a Maxx but they are more than twice the price of the MT10 and from those videos I've watched, not worth the extra.

      CML are showing stock of the Hyper 10 tt, leaning towards it as you can use 1/10 electrics. I've read a couple forums with folk fitting RPM arms from a Traxxas Slash.

    Order a new RC day, it's a toss up between 3, all in stock at MS, so as long as I order by 12 I can get Saturday delivery :)

      TF2 will most likely be my next rig. Really happy with my Beast II kit! 

       

      If going brushed, the Hobbywing 1080 esc is really good for the money. That's what I'm running in my Beast II kit along with a 45t motor.

       

      Get it built and come to the G6 at the end of May :thumbsup:

      Thanks guys. It's not for big areas, just seam lines. A few people have recommended Squadron Green Putty so think I'll try that first. I'm looking for something that is easy to apply as never tried this before.

    I did my first 2hr driving lesson today, first time I've driven in over a year and ashamed to say at first I was a nervous wreck lol. My legs shook like crazy. We started off on a main road and straight away a van coverd the rear view and that's when I started shaking lol. I felt so embarrassed. After turning off into a smaller road I stopped and thank god didn't happen again. 

     

    Overall I got a 2-3 star out of 5 for the lesson. Basically lots of verbal commands and a couple corrections. 

     

    But did better than I thought moving through traffic and tight turns around others at junctions that's something I dreaded but went good. 

     

    At the end I asked to do some bay parking cos I struggled on that before and parked it good 4/5 times.  

     

    Today hasn't done much for my road confidence but hopfully it improves over the next few weeks.  

    Theory is on the 25th. With lots of luck I'll be legal by the end of the year.

    Would shoddy soldered connectors be the cause of my slash troubles, turn it on and get half a sec of power then nothing except two of the motor/esc wires vibrate a bit when I try the throttle???

      Might sound silly, but have you made shure the wires to/from the esc are correct? A-A, B-B & C-C
