  1. On road (touring cars etc) or off road (monster trucks, buggies) Are you bashing or racing? (bashing is throwing it off ramps, driving round parks and the like, racing is pretty self explanatory) I'm guessing you want 1/10? Do you have a budget in mind? If you're looking for an off-road basher, truggy style cars perform well, the e-firestorm is a personal favorite. If you're starting up, a tamiya tt01 is a great choice, it's very versatile and can be turned into a wide variety of configurations

  15. Best to have a gander round in any forests/woods near you, places with ridges, hills etc. usually are the best. Try looking round for some sort of off-road bmx track or something, try not to go when theres lots of bikers there, it is a bmx track not an rc track after all. Whereabouts are you in Nottingham? In Eastwood there's a club with an off-road track if you're interested in some racing. not sure if they do short-course racing though although it's always worth an ask. http://www.broxtowemcc.org.uk/
