  1. Depends what you hit and at what speed. Most standard shafts will bend and wont be as strong afterwards. If it happens repeatedly then perhaps try titanium nitride coated shafts.
  2. Attempted to turn a Savage into a muggy/truggy. Smaller shock towers and shocks. Just got to work out how to mount the body posts before running.
  3. Have you bent the centre shaft? Dont think you need it unless you regularly jump high onto concrete. The 3d printed one will help brace it in the middle.
  4. Are you using the pins? If so you could get a slightly tighter mesh without them but it's probably ok. Run it and check wear on teeth.
  5. Anyone had a Hobbywing esc on/off switch stop working? The one on my Max6 will not turn off. Took it apart and it is potted so cant really diagnose issue. Looks like there are replacment switches.
  6. https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/traxxas-big-block-conversion-kit-revo-20896 Whether the chassis and drive train can cope with a larger engine is another question. I only buy used now but that usually requires waiting til the right one comes up that has been looked after and had some improvements, but not the usual addition of aluminium parts.
  7. All of them apart from the latest reincarnation. Usual things to change are the stock servos and throttle/brake linkage set up. You used to be able to put a standard big block engine instead of the TRX3.3 by using a different engine mount.
  8. New or used? I'm biased as only had Savages. They all will have pros/cons. Just check online for spares availability as this can change over time nut usually Traxxas has best ongoing support even in UK, but Hobao are also good, HPI has been sporadic in last few years.
  9. Check how it feels when you turn the diff by hand before disassembling the diff again. Have a good look at the teeth and colour of fluid.
  10. Have you previously used the centre diff without issues or recently taken it apart? Only way to check is to strip it down, You should be able to rock spur gear against the pinion gear so that there is a small bit of play, you dont want a tight fit. Assume you also are using a mod 1 pinion. Sometimes different gears make a different noise.
  11. Started and ran two nitro Savages that hadnt been used for about a year. One had a stuck carb so a reminder to use some after run oil in carb. Both went well after some tuning but old original tyres have started to split/crack on one.
  12. It's a specific and perhaps niche rc car. To the right buyer it maybe worth what you are asking. I would suggest you put it on ebay with a reserve as you should reach more people.
  13. Hobao generally make reasonably strong cars. If you are typical basher, ie. not sending it on a skate park, then the only parts that will usually need rebending or replacing are the shock towers. Parts are generally easy to obtain and have been for a long time. I've got STs, 7s, 8s, VSs.
  14. You know how to set it up then, it'll work.
  15. Need to remove red wire from external bec to rx...https://www.bigsquidrc.com/everybodys-scalin-explaining-the-bec/
  16. If using Max5/6 esc then you can up the BEC voltage, stock esc is only 6.0V. Either run a separate battery for high voltage servo or use a UBEC with correct current rating for servo tapped from a battery. I'm running a Max6 at 7.4V to stock servo.
  17. Tamiya masking tape is said to be very good and they do one for curves,
  18. Channels are correct. Binding the rx to your tx is usually required unless done at factory if rtr.
  19. Started breaking in a new 21 Fastrax Enduro bump start engine. Usually I strip and check all the internals before running but not this time. I quickly noticed one of the backplate screws was backing out and the revs suddenly remaining high. Now stripped, checked, carb slider greased, and backplate resealed. Back up and running as it should, few more tanks to go.
  20. I find wheelspin to be easiest to search, are these the ones https://wheelspinmodels.co.uk/i/10473/
  21. Either raise all the diff holders or chop it.
  22. Looks like rebranding hasnt improved reliability of Evri/Hermes. Often comes down to the final leg where a local driver is used, which means it can be hit or miss.
  23. You could try a dowel pin if you know the size.
