  1. Hi, well decided to go the full hog , stripped it all back offopened diff back up (all looked lovely in there) , decided to lower the 3rd leg on the mount to match the rest and put it all back together , still a bit of noise but nothing like before so I'm not sure what has changed (maybe the level has helped ?) Picture below , onto the next bit lol
  2. OK will do, keep you posted , felt smooth as silk when I put it back together before , little different to when grase was in it as its now full of fluid but didn't feel bad
  3. Hi locky, yes used it without issues, I've had it apart , cleaned and filled with diff oil (all looked perfect inside) I did put 30000 in the centre diff ? I did wonder if I have something slightly off on the level of the diff/spur and it's causing it to be hard work but when I say it sounds awful it really does , yes it's a mod 1 pinion, I'm thinking of stripping it all back off and starting again , put thinner diff oil in, chop that 3rd leg on mount so it all sits flat instead of having to build uo the mount level to match , anything else you can think of , thabks for replying , appreciate it
  4. Hi all , right I've meshed the pinion and diff spur , but I get a horrible noise from the diff as if something is slipping inside, is this normal ? Could the diff be shot ? It's almost like it's too tight within the diff , sounds horrible
  5. Hi Redback, are you talking about the silver mounts in lockys picture above ? If so yes I have those in place and at the bottom of the diff, your right in what your saying if that's upside down it really throws it out and the one pic I've posted does look major out. It was the 3rd leg on the motor mount that was throwing me all lop sided in the other direction so hopefully that's sorted with the spacers I've put in. Thanks for adding in though seriously I appreciate all input
  6. Thankyou both, storms appreciate the links mate loving your work, will go with the same as you then a 17 tooth, I have the exact same combo as you Locky, I'm thinking I might just chop the 3rd leg level as its gotta be more solid on all 3 legs, to be honest though that mock up has got it proper solid and the screws fit perfect now after some dremelling , might leave like that and try it out, I'll keep updating as I tickle along
  7. Just a nock up, has anyone shortened the 3rd leg as it seems a fair bit to make up ? I've added a pic to show what I mean
  8. OK, thanks mate, need to get me some washers then lol, rear diff would 30,000 be ok ? Bit of a long winded project I know but still looking forward to it still to buy Battery, was thinking 4s 5000mah Radio gear , cheap enough really Battery tray ( is the losi tray still the one ?) Charger Mod 1 pinion (see lots of people saying different teeth amount, I have no idea what to use?) Not cheap but looking forward to it
  9. Hi everyone, I know this has been a while but I've finally got round to getting some of the stuff together Ezrun max 8 combo Motor mount Have cleaned and filled front and centre diff with 10,000 silicone oil I'm just messing with mount but struggling to see what you guys have done to level up ? Could yiu look at my pics and give some advice please (probably me iverthinking it but I don't want to mess it up) I seem to be proper on the wonk , do you level off the 3rd foot of Mount or do you bring everything else up with washers , cheers all
  10. Yeah buddy totally get what your saying, that's why I decided to go with the tq sport conversion first , trial and error and then hopefully gey the best I can for the pbs conversion
  11. Just looking at the centre diff , would the brake disk spacers at the bottom be OK to use ? Or am I needing washers as well 🤔
  12. So, after the washing machine and tumble dryer went bang (setting me back £600 😐) I've finally ordered the motor mount (Ali express) and some front lower arms, centre diff oil !! Not the big spend I was hoping for lol. With the alien aliexpress mount do I just take 3mm off the one foot ?
  13. So finally got round to pricing everything up (even new transmitter) , coming in at around £300, just waiting on payday to roll round to make a start
  14. Came up pretty tidy after all, diff oil lads , centre diff 10,000 ? How about rear and front ? , thanks , gonna see what i can get knocked up at work to cover engune mount holes etc
