Rough the outdrive with a bit of sandpaper make sure you clean both ring and outdrive with some brake cleaner etc so there’s no grease or grime then add a drop of thread lock leave over night to cure job done 👍

I ran the same motor you have in my outcast 8s and in the Kraton 8s I sold I had the Hobbywing 800kv both are great motors and both I ended up gearing up to run cooler. I know we all say gear down but honestly I found gearing up was the way to go 🤷🏻♂️ Yes you are quite right though I had a few recommendations from the usual crowd all with no real experience of the motors or in the area I was running and all play the part in determining what gearing to go with. Thankfully RW racing pinions aren’t that expensive so have a play about 👍

Gearing these is wired I actually went higher and it got cooler think I settled on 36-39 in the end 👍

Lol totally over dramatic !! But hey that’s typical of Arrma they love a bit of drama. The pin issue is simple to fix a bit of heat shrink job done the bearing looking at the rotor is clear it’s got hot probably due the pin working out causing binding. The shafts rubbing both on the shocks and centre also won’t be helping the matter Arrma won’t be sorting this before release date them trucks are already packaged ready to go Horizon have single handily killed Arrma

£429.99 on ms which I guess is the going rate now, that said I spent almost twice that on my Tekno so what do I know 😂 Aimed directly at Traxxas no doubt

You might find that’s a little under geared for that motor but try it and see might be fine for where you using it.

You asked how and why not for a solution ! I gave you plausible answers as to how and why if you don’t like the answers that’s cool but then don’t ask the questions ! You gave no insight as to what happened for this to happen or a period of time etc so what did you expect folks to say ? This £200 will it need to include lipos and charger or just the rc ? If yes the your gonna be hard pushed to get something durable fast and electric for that budget. Secondhand will just be abused old dogs and new will be brittle old junk. Prices have gone crazy. Maybe something from China like a wltoys but not sure there be skatepark worthy -

Yep that’s the stuff sorry thought it was 50 just remove a bit out of the centre diff and add about half a silicone ear plug as well

Was that bashing or crashing 😂😂. My centre has a mix of silicone ear plug and Traxxas 50 mil front and rear are stock.

I got paddles on the x Maxx makes for a great pond skater 😂. Be warned, that sand loves to get in everywhere so make sure them wheels have the holes tapped up ! Happy cleaning I mean bashing 😂👍

Agreed the gearing down is the first port of call and the cheapest for sure Only running a set is probably why you get away with it, there is definitely an increase in performance with the max 5 over the 6 but fitting the 5 is a ball ache if you want it to look good can be done mind even with a non stock motor
