depends on which type of paint, the tamiya stuff unless you use matt top coat is shiny inside and out.. some paint like core and fastrax are less shiny.
looking great pal. think i better go and buy one now
at the time i was lead to believe the Tenth technology predator was a weapon int he right hands. lots of carbon and at the time newer ideas and thinking. id love one of there older stadium trucks. but i reckon they are like hens teeth now
was lucky enough to have a friend who worked on electrical assembly line for tanks and stuffs..... its best solder ive used. might have to get him to aquire a few more lol
the teton is a great little starter car. quite nippy to say it has a 370 motor. lipos are definately needed and bring it to life. i am tempted to try a brushless in it lol
wow so many lucky people with to tinker.....i do have a garage with is full of crap from moving house.. seriously need a tidy and sort through it all.....i will get you guys some pictures when i can
as far as i can see the only differences are the TX is slightly better on the VXL as it has the stability control...needed on the vxl they are pretty quick. and then then Speedo and motor are the brushless ones ont he VXL. which would be a great upgrade but the TRaxxas stuff is pretty pricey compared to other combos.
The XL5 is a great starter model and it can be easily upgraded by chucking a cheaper brushless combo in it. As far as i know gearbox internals are same. my slash XL% is now vxl powered HEHE
the tamiya king cab is a great model but parts are getting epic to try and track down as there is very few other models it shares parts with. good luck in your quest. i fear you may need it
