  1. So whilst I was fixing my over enthusiastic driving at the weekend, I noticed that the Pinion had slipped and was not interfering with the motor mount (Made me wince considering its price!) So a simple adjust meant I thought, but sadly not. ๐Ÿ˜ช As the photo above shows, the grub screw came out easily enough, but the pinion is seized solidly onto the shaft. Even some eager screw driver levering (See the marks on the shaky photo above) didn't budge it. So before I go and buy a butane torch to try attacking it that way, I wanted to make sure that this is the correct direction to go? Ian...
  2. Started to repair the damage from my excessive driving habits. ๐Ÿ˜‡ Turns out the A arms that I was using was off the Hyper 7.5 if you can remember that!! Swapped them out for normal arms. The shocks are proving more of an issue as the only place in stock for the part I need is in Australia. (Yay for Hyper 9 shocks!) ๐Ÿ˜ช Also turns out my pinion was meshing on the motor mount, but its stubbornly refusing to come off. Need to buy a blow torch for this me thinks! Ian...
  3. I admit that today I was thrashing it a bit. ๐Ÿ˜ I live in the Vale of York which is a large flat valley apart from the hill that this village is built on. As such in the 18th/19th Century they quarried out the centre of this hill, and when this closed they put a cricket green/park in the middle of the hole. This results in lots of banks like this (Which is far steeper than this shows): The broken shock was an annoyance as that was the first run across the field/park, and whilst I 'slowed' down for the turn I hit a bumpy part of the grass (Mostly it is an outfield of the village cricket pitch so fairly flat) and it just went cartwheeling. ๐Ÿ˜ช The rest of the damage was caused by thrashing over banks like this at far to high a speed!!! ๐Ÿ˜‡ To be honest this 'bashing' spot is would be crawler heaven too. Ian...
  4. Bit of bashing with some locals, lots of breakages (Shock damage was on the first run of the day ๐Ÿ˜ก) Ian...
  5. Guess I need to buy a lot of wheel glue/CA now!!!! ๐Ÿคฃ Ian....
  6. We need a voting system for quotes as I don't believe this at all!! ๐Ÿ˜† Ian...
  7. Have to admit that I didn't check my Hyper after bashing it the other day on a 17t but I don't think that I cooked it so I may chuck a 16t/17t on the ST. Ian...
  8. That was my thought too, and from some other advice earlier in the thread, but I wanted to double check before I pressed buy. ๐Ÿ˜› Ian...
  9. About to place my order for my motor and ESC, but wanted to check with you all first. ๐Ÿ™‚ I am looking at a Hobbywing Ezrun-Sl-4274-2200 Motor. Any thoughts? Ian..
  10. I am a geek hiding out as an RC nerd. ๐Ÿ˜› I have upgraded the audio since I took this photo, but it gives a clue. ๐Ÿ˜› Ian...
  11. Cleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeean... And a bit of an RC Boomarang ๐Ÿ˜› (I went backwards at high speed of a jump into a solid bank) Looked damn good though ๐Ÿ˜› Ian...
  12. Some dirt bashing, and demolishing my rear spoiler. ๐Ÿ˜› Gets the cleaning clothes out for the night... Ian...

  17. Cool kids only... The VSe mount is great to be fair, and I am glad for that third bolt when putting the power down. ๐Ÿ˜› Ian...
  18. That is correct in theory however you may find other limitations in your electronics hold it back. The extra punch of the 130C is good if you are looking for power though. In the end a 70C 4s pack will give you some monstrous speed so it is really down to what you want. ๐Ÿ™‚ Ian...
  19. 7am looked gorgeous. Charged batteries. Side tracked by a film whilst waiting, and got a phone call before the end asking if I had seen how bad the rain was... ๐Ÿ˜ช Was hoping the forecast was going to be wrong. ๐Ÿ˜› Ah well.. Ian...
  20. Some mighty juice in that battery so you will want to check its size. I would say that it is also a 70C battery again whereas you can get the 130C 5500mAh one I linked for about ยฃ30ish cheaper. This will give you more power potential if you electrics can take it of course. Ian...
  21. True, better exclude the kerbs and banks from my suggestion then... Ian...
  22. That is what kerbs/banks/children are for... Ian...
  23. The only way. ๐Ÿ˜Ž FYI: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-rapid-5500mah-4s2p-140c-hardcase-lipo-battery-pack-w-xt60-connector-roar-approved.html They can kick out some serious power if you want, but are thicker batteries so you need to be think the layout out. Ian...
  24. Similar on my 5500 140C's 4S Lipos. However it depends on how you are driving depending on how long you get. Ian...
