BT are unbelieveable.
I pay £50/m for our internet and phone with free weekend calls.
They actually put it up by £2.49 a couple of months ago.
Now I am switching with EE, they've called me today offering me a better deal for £29/m, I said to the woman on the phone I'm not at all happy about the fact they can offer me it so cheap yet they are happy to take £50/m off me, then actually increase the bloody price.
Still going with EE, even if it is £4/m more, purely on principle that BT are a bunch of robbing crooks and that was the last nail in the coffin.

Had the same with broadband. Threatened to quit, they offered a tenner p/mth off, nothing more. I cancelled the account, within ten mins they called offering 25 quid off, which I took. Then they reactivated old account and no break in service. Its a joke they require u to actually cancel ur account before offering their best deal!

Took my mums mobility car for a service today and when I picked it up noticed that they had unplugged the dash cam why though ?

Seems quite common these days from what I read. Garage excuses range from testing battery, not risking non standard equipment as well as data protection (employees). Being realistic, IMHO its more about not videoing whats going on around and too your motor. Even if they're only messing about away from the motors its likely someone will lob it on utube and moan.

have put a wanted add for an engine but is there any others i should be looking at? looking for 28 engine to go in hyper.
-
Tbh, I felt it was a bit wasted in the hyper. The .21 I replaced it with felt more suited to the buggy. I got it from amain (stung for vat on the way in) to go in the smartech tornado mt I bought, before doing any research. It melted the diffs, then melted the replacements. Even when I filled the diffs with metal weld the torque was too much and it nailed them again. The hyper held up fine but even geared up it needed delicate throttle to avoid wheelspin.

That was fast, got a call back today regarding my interview yesterday, I start my trial period in the next couple of weeks.
They obviously thought I was right enough for the job to not bother to interview the other candidates.
Now, I need to find my bloody birth certficate!

Gopro firmware update. Its been flashing red saying updating for nearly an hour i bet. Is that normal?
-
The main problem is, people don't need the extra quality that gopro gives. The difference between my turnigy/sjcam and my mates hero3 (I think) really only shows out if you watch side by side on big screen. Most people don't go beyond watching phone vids on a 7" mobile screen or 10" tablet. 99% of my vids never make it off the laptop and are easily good enough for me. With mine flashed with sjcam f/w, I got useful updates from 'the OEM' and the benefit of a large support community. Do I regret choosing the £30 wifi camera including case/mounts over the premium gopro.............not even once! Plus I'm not strapping another £100+ worth of kit to a foamy plane, £30 is acceptable. Sadly this happens a lot with innovators/market drivers, they lose their edge and get whipped on price and features before too long. Then it comes down to branding like a certain fruity phone.
Just wish I could find mine. Not seen it since Jan.
Sorry, not that any of that helps with your issue.........

Just had a look at the 1060 brushed esc we brought , seems he has changed his name , made all feedback private , and now has nothing for sale and a 58 negative feedback this month , looks like a PP Claim coming on .
-
In some respects the paypal buyer protection is causing us all to take a lot less care when purchasing things, certainly off ebay. At the end of the day, I don't care if it's a scam or not, I'll get my money back and paypal will lose a little bit from their huge profits. If we didn't have ebay/paypal, is there any way this artist of scams would get my cash, let alone card details. No sir! Ebay isn't exactly helping allowing sellers to carry on with the account history FIMS quoted. Not the right attitude I know but I'll put way more than what I paid for the esc on a single roulette spin.........

Plenty of positive feedback this month but plenty of negative too. I'm guessing it's a scam but will hold on and see if anything comes of it. Tracking number says China post but details say awaiting details from courrier.
Does everyone else get this when checking on the order....
We had to remove this listing from the site and you're not required to complete the transaction. If you've already sent payment, the sale should process as normal and you don't have anything to worry about. If you have any questions about delivery, please check tracking or contact your seller. If a forum doesn't have any members/contributors, it doesn't need mods. Is there a lesson in there somewhere for the silent few?
-
Right, so like you say yourself, you overlook rule violations depending on who it is and what mood you're in. By your own words, you admit you ask for people not to break the rules, period, give warnings if you're not someone's forum-friend and overlook it from others.
Yet you don't see what that does for trust and transparency?

Well a massive part of the members question that. So that remains your opinion. I agree that in general, you all do a very good job. However that doesn't make you above reproach for subsequent actions. I probably know more than you think I do regarding Mike's history. Never assume who talks to who and what screen shots do or don't get shared outside of the forum walls. Without any details from the mods, we only have his word to go on this time. There is a way to resolve that.
If you're not hiding anything, please answer this:
Yes I saw Alex's post had been edited without the usual note, which would suggest he didn't do it, and that you liked it while it had censored swearing. As you wish to debate things, tell me how you justify liking a post that blatantly breaks the rules of the forum?

Sorry, I will be sure to say nearly ten years or not quite ten years from now on if that helps?
I don't recall a flurry of comments stating you've generally been doing a bad job? Questioning your actions and subsequent behaviour (as a group) after Mikegate, yes. Do you expect everyone to keep quiet and never question your decisions (as a group)? Do you think no one but mods should have any right to ask about the running of the forum?
What no one appreciates is a secretive little group using the rules for their own purposes. I know what you're saying but it's the severity of the action that's disturbing. If someone had been late to work six times in ten years, would they be sacked? Very unlikely. There's an escalating scale of punishment, in this case a temporary ban would fit the situation. In the real world, minor transgressions also get waived after an agreed period. Most employers look at twelve months history in cases of discipline, not the full ten years of service.
Regardless, this isn't a business, this is a forum for hobbyists, its reason for being is to be a community area for discussion of the hobby and helping answer any questions that people have. A few minor transgressions hardly warrant losing such a prolific and helpful member for life.
