Are Traxxas Stampede 4x4 VXL worth getting? looking at the one in the for sale section as I’m wanting something fast and strong enough for some bashing they do 60mph with a pinion and spur change on 3s apparently but traxxas have stopped making them now haven’t they ?

Ill refrain from saying too much as it’s obviously mine youre looking at. Theyre great in my opinion, but forget 60mph. Theyre a handful on 2S, and have quite a high centre of gravity so not great for out right speed. They like to tumble and wheelie. Mine has some extremely desirable and expensive hop ups and is in great condition. They appear to not be on the Traxxas site any more, but 95% of it is shared between the Slash 4x4 and Rustler 4x4, so I wouldnt let that out you off. Mine also has Proline Body Mounts so you could lower the body if you wanted.
I personally love them, and Im not bothered if it sells, but I just use it as I have too many similar RCs.

Must be getting old but Ive come to the conclusion I dont really use most of my RCs, and if I do use them, I use the X Maxx, the XRT or the TRX4. The rest are just “there”. My Mrs has a Maxx, Sledge and a Rustler and thats more than enough RCs for use. Im really enjoying buying the Tamiya’s I wanted from the 90s, so could raise a fair bit of cash to maybe buy some shelfers

Got the feeling i have been done with the purchase of the cross RC crawler, paid for it a week ago, not been given a tracking number, dont know if its been posted and now seller is not replying to message, will lodge a paypal report tonight if no reply, then claim my cash back

Im hearing mumblings that Traxxas are starting some law suits again 🙄 against some small time Hop Up manufacturers. However, more interestingly I noticed Jennys RCs link in the law suit……

All Ill say on this.
Im pretty disgusted by it too as it really isnt necessary when they are a big as they are. I can see why people are infuriated. However, Im seeing comments about lining their pockets? as a business arent they supposed to be about lining their pockets, rather than supporting the RC community? I own a security company, everything I do is to line my pocket? Not about looking after a community.
This is inexcusbale, as are alot of their lawsuits BUT Theyve gotta look after certain things, and I agree with SOME of it. HPI let KM get away with cloning the shib out of the Baja and look what happened to them?

I think i may scale back on the crawling and stick more to forest trail driving
all but fell down a steep, very steep climb today trying to get the shot, time for a change, not getting any younger and a fall could have me out of work for weeks
