Blimey, I paid £299 for my Egress Black Edition. Theres a regular edition ReRe coming soon BTW. Im not sure how much use Ill be to your questions but: The build was very fun and high quality throughout. Ive never ever ran the Egress, and dont intend to Ive not even opened my Avante Black Edition, I dont think Ill ever build it Im after a Top Force Evo next, from what I know, the Avante & Egress are better quality, high end, but the Top Force Evo performs much better and is more durable etc

Best thing to do. Go to your club and see what everyone else is running. Its all high end Lipo at the local one to me, yet I see others friends go to where NIMH is still competitive. Also, depends on how many classes your club has. If youre race 1, and then marshalling race 2, and theres a few more races before youre up, you may be able to top your Lipo up and get 1 lipo. If you’re at a small club with a few heats you may not have time to top your battery up and need a few more. IMO, go lipo. I think it’s pointless buying old tech in 2024

Yea Im running higher BEC through my ESC not an external one. Not heard of any issues with TSM. I dread to think how much the 2085R will be?

I dont run the stock Radio in my XMaxx so I run higher voltage BEC. However, I run the same servo in my XRT with stock radio and thats only running 6.0v and its great. Doesmt have to be a DMond, but Im sure theres similar on Ali Express etc. Bare in mind youll need adapters/servo horn to run a standard servo in an X Maxx

I personally wouldnt buy Yeah Racing stuff, id either keep the CVAs or go for TRFs. Are you sure the adjustable arms fit the carbon towers? IMO, unless youre getting the Carbon towers cheap, from say Plaza Japan, I wouldnt spend £40+ on a pair

Servo is down to budget really. I have a lot of models, so I tend to bulk order 5-10 servos from AliExpress/BangGood at a time. I buy SPT ones as theyre cheapish but theres a wait from China

The kit comes with a servo horn, although some people go with an upgraded one. Theres tax calculators to work out how much tax youll pay, but usualky VAT is paid at source, and theres not normally anymore charges on smaller items

Yes The 1060 has lipo cut off. You just need to put the jumper on the lipo setting, which is shown in the instructions
