    Traction Hobby Scale Crawler

TRACTION HOBBY TEASES NEW SCALE PRODUCTS

The folks over at Traction Hobby are teasing new products for 2019. 1/8th scaled rock crawlers are on the move and are expected to really take off this year, Traction Hobby is one of the companies at the front of that trend.

Traction Hobby made waves in 2018 with their popular 1/8th scaled Cragsman rock crawlers and they intend on keeping that momentum going this year. Right now they are teasing brand new Founder II portal axles, plus they have also been teasing a new, highly detailed, 1/8 scale crawler.

The Found II portal axles are expected to be released later this month and we will post more information on new Traction Hobby products as they become available. Until then, we just have to wait and drool over the pictures.

    It's only the truth though.

When the Capo was released, one particular YouTuber got one, built it, then never run it, 6 months later admitted on social media it was too delicate to run and fell apart during running

Dont worry dude... I'm not a yank.... Freedom of speech is not stifled here ?

Not had any experience of capo really, except I understand that one of the RC sparks fraternity was a 'founding member' and that capos rigs look sweet as....

I've never really delved into running vids etc etc as they're too highly priced for my tastes....

I have however seen some of the traction hobbies cragsman running vids though.... And they seem pretty tough.... But as you hinted... We, as individuals who dabble in recording footage and editing, know its not only very easy to omit information that's critical of a design etc etc.... But if your sponsored by X.. And X sends you something for free.... The unwritten basic rule is that you don't badmouth said product... Or risk losing your sponsor...

On the flip side... Some YouTube dwelling folk are honest......... Funny how they're often the ones lacking sponsorship though.....

We'll see in the future when the new model drops I suppose.... Large scale crawling is supposed to be this year's up and coming thing... Or so I've read?

I don't think 'large' scale crawling will ever take off personally, it would require it's own courses and everything as they won't run right on a 10th scale specific course.

There's barely enough 10th scale ones and they don't take anything like the beating of an Axial, Traxxas, RC4WD and even the cheaper ones.

    They're for the shelf IMO.

I think the large scale crawler market is aimed at the hobbyist who doesn't compete in comps..... Which is probably the larger of the two sectors....

Time will tell all..... Interested to see what happens with this....

Always been tempted by the Founder and Cragsman, heard they’re pretty solid rigs to be fair, and the majority of what i’ve seen Torn down, were assembled well too, with plenty of grease and threadlock and the shocks filled properly without leaking.

I know my SCX10 will walk all over because it’s so much more agile, but i can see this being just as much fun because it’ll attack obstacles that are larger, but still to scale and allow you to be more adventurous with lines lol
