  7. My point was primarily that it's often the employers who take action against people for their actions, and that most people don't realise what rights they have, and what rights they don't (but think they do). I draw up my contracts with my clients myself and then get them checked over with my lawyer for this very reason - I want to know what's in it, and how it can effect me. I know a guy who got suspended from Sainsbury's for writing a status about his boss being drunk at work. He read his small print again, and there it was, he had an obligation not to post that (whether true or false).I'm not saying it's always the person being punished in the wrong, I'm saying a lot of the time when it is their fault, they refuse to accept it and kick up a fuss. I don't want the government to do anything about the Sky thing (in fact, I'd like the government to stop doing most of the things it does do, and remove a lot of laws against stupid, petty, insanely time wasting issues). It is up to Sky and no-one else to decide what happens to those guys for their comments, and if they want to fire them, then that's up to Sky. Sky didn't want this out in the open, so the blame for all of this lies with neither them or the comms guys, but with the person who leaked it (and we can argue forever about if it was the right thing or not). If everything is "monitored" it'd require an insane number of people to deal with it (which would have to be funded through the state, which would rely on the state having money to do so..). A lot is recorded and stored sitting in a cupboard without being reviewed, but that's different to monitored. Plus, they don't have cameras in my home, so I'm free to do whatever I want. If someone chooses to break the law outside of their own property, well, that's their choice. That said, it would appear that the "private property" issue is about to slide horribly, as whilst we may not be recorded in them, we are going to be told that we must allow EVERYONE on to our property, even if we have a moral opposition to them (whilst not a personal issue for me, I find it stupid.) I also think that for several reasons (EU, UN, and the actual citizens of the country saying "no") that a 1984 situation is just implausible. Fwiw, if you know the time and date you were somewhere, and the footage isn't being used in an investigation, you can get a copy of yourself on CCTV any time you want. I've seen a few art projects based on this (they've all been quite poor, but hey ho). Control orders are ridiculous, but I don't see how anything I've spoken about relates to those. I can't think of a single reason anyone would be for them (other than wasting more of my taxes..) I'm not saying the police are friendly, what I'm saying is I know my rights with them. I suggest a quick read of a blog called Old Holborn and read the blogs about what to do if you get arrested. It's a super read about what rights exist, and how to use them to your advantage. In my profession there's been lots of conflict with the police, and I've always gotten out of it by knowing my rights and staying calm. Even during Section 44, I never gave my details to the police when stopped, I knew my rights and knew they had no power to get that information from me. I strongly recommend watching The Power Of Nightmares, and especially the first episode of How TV Ruined Your Life. It's all about how fear has been instilled in people through Govt, papers, etc etc. Both are very interesting (although The Power Of Nightmares was before the July 7th bombings, and says that it won't happen, which dates it horribly).

  10. well the fuel spitting would say its rich, but the high temp lean . the bogging down again would suggest its more on the lean side, as when its rich it normally just dies at full throttle. the sizzle test means its too hot. but it could also be an airleak. but id richen it personally, if it still get hot richen it some more, if it gets to the point where its near factory and still gets hot then im sure it will be an air leak.

  12. Got to agree with you fully Wol, there's no way it should have broken under that kind of load at all - you could easily tell by speed it was going, no way near the 250mph theoretical top speed

  15. I suspect it will cost more than the SCRT10 or Hyper 10, but less than the DESC410R which is its closest competitor. Probably £200 for the kit I expect. Its a race level chassis based on the X4-Pro buggy, and comes with those lovely Ansmann short course big bore shocks shown a few days back which are very expensive. So cheap it won't be, but it should be decent quality. Its not a Durango rip off as they first showed this over a year ago, before the X4 was even released, and before Durango had shown their prototype. For racing it should run rings round existing 4wd SCT's, except the Durango that is. People have really got to stop reading the Ansmann bit and slagging off before reading further.

  16. I remember going to watch football as a kid back in the 80s when a large chunk of the crowd were National Front and the awful abuse non white players got was horrifying so if no freedom of speech means not having to listen to that again then sign me up and honestly what's wrong with not offending people? I'm a fairly big and boisterous bloke who sometimes lets his gob run away a bit but if i thought that something i'd said had truly offended someone I'd be mortified. Now this is something i hear quite a lot...I'm being filmed all the time...it's against my civil liberties...what is it that you're doing that means there's a problem filming it? not having a pop at you i just find the last point interesting

  17. That motor on Hobbyking isn't related in any way to the Team C one. Too many differences in design and spec, its just a motor that looks similar. For example, Angle of the bevelling on the end of the can by the screws Armature shaft, one has a hole, the other doesn't Mounting screw hole count Wire exit position Number of cooling fins 2100kv vs 2560kv etc.

  18. You are quite right about them being BSD, Seems its a company that allow other brands to put their logo on their products for a price. I have seen these under many guises such as R/C systems. To another comment made on the page about them only accepting saddlepacks, if you looks around for the R/C system branded ones they come equipped with a 3800mah nimh stick pack and the chassis is laid out in stick pack formation. Modelzone stock this type of one: http://www.modelzone.co.uk/bsd-1-10-brushless-buggy.html There is also a monster truck version which is the exact same chassis just with larger wheels and different shell: http://www.modelzone.co.uk/bsd-racing-radio-control-monster-truck.html
