C3PO
Hi all, My batteries have been left unused for three months, they are Intellect SC TZ Power 4200 ones (non LiPo). I have plugged them into my usual charger to get the cars running again but they are not charging it seems ... even the slow charging light is not operating. The charger seems ok though. Any advice, ideas?
TiM!
Sounds like they have been left long enough to "self discharge" below 5.4V. Not that much you can do really. People might say put a blast of high current through them for a very short time. It can work well but is not very safe.
danharrison
you could try touching the leads onto a 12v car battery its a bit hit or miss and is quite dangerous but does sometimes work
JamesChatz
Is the charger not detecting the battery at all? There was a guy the other day who managed to revive some by sticking them onto a bog standard trickle charger. This managed to put enough charge into them for the proper charger to charge them. C3PO
I hold my head in shame: the power lead into the back of the charger was not "in" properly All is fine now! Apologies...
