Stevil
Ello everyone, i am a complete newbie to the world of rc and am looking to dabble in crawlers. at the moment i am looking at a couple at around £200 (traxxas txr4m or ftx kanyon v2) or so as i dont want to drop loads onto a hobby i may not be fully invested in. the tinkering nature of rc is what has also got me interested i do love to build and improve/fix things. looking forward to asking stupid questions and hopefully learning as i go

abyd
Hi, I recommend a Kanyon v1 Delivered for £152 (minus battery) from Time Tunnel Models. Then fit a fast(ish) brushless sensor'ed motor. -(Then maybe you won't need 2 speed-:) Maybe 3200 kv ??? Not sure yet, I will test on my v2 and tell you once I can afford it. But you HAVE to do at least the chassis reinforcement mod! It's cheap though. Don't take my advice though, I have been drinking cider and I love my Kanyon, but have had to mod it a little (soon a little more with brushless:). abyd
If your rich then a V2 for more like 200 smackers! If your multi-billion-rich then just flippin' get a TRX4 !!¬!!!!!!
abyd
But the Kanyon is BIGGER than a mere' TRX4 !!!!! Chin it al' ova !!! (specially if you fuel it on cider) Edited October 30, 2023 by abyd eta: fuel recommendation
abyd
Or if you can find an FTX Fury 2.0 For around £200 mark is a good deal. More manageable size, reverse twisting drive shafts, nicer motor and servo than the new Paso. Bead-lock tyres. Sorry, my posts above are serious but some not so .....! I'm new to this hobby really too.
