  1. This video explains how to enter the secret configuration menu to set the end points on the 2WD servo. I have seen stories of these burning out due to overshooting. Mine did make a bit of a mild buzz until forced an extra mm or so by hand. I have improved it slightly. But I did not unplug the servos and the winch starts winding itself in when the transmitter is in config mode and jammed. So I just wound it all the way out and tried a few times, just being quick setting up the servo.
  2. The FTX logo on the front and back is almost the same shape as a Ford badge! 2WD is nice to have, definitely improves turning circle and high speed nimbleness. But have to remember that the rear axle is still locked when free-wheeling so probably not as good as remote locking diff's front and rear🤔 .....(Might need to get an FTX Tracker one day😎) I attached a spare wheel from a Zorro, also using the spacer from the body shell of my Torro. The mounting point on the tailgate is quite sturdy as it is part of the bumper body-mount plastic 😀

  4. It's an FTX Centaur (Ford Bronco). First thing I did was peel all the stickers off !!!! eta: FTX supply a Green Body-Shell as a spare part in the UK. But green is only RGT imports atm Maybe FTX will eventually release this in green in the UK, via CML Distribution, in the future 🤔
  5. Haha, For under £300, I had to get myself one of these 😁
  6. I try not to smoke because it's deadly! I tend to try to vape mostly, for harm-reduction purposes. But it can get almost as costly as the old 'analogue-smokes' ! So I make my own E-Juice . Essentially: All you have is a coil of resistive inert wire, surrounding a wick. The wick is made of organic unbleached cotton wool. Heat the wire to the boiling point of the E-Juice using electricity. The e-juice vaporises and carries whatever flavour components (plus any nicotine) that you add. For a model you need to use a motor (& a fan/impeller) to flow the vapours and get a 'smoke effect' . The above is merely my own guesswork on how these operate. You can get the 'JUICE' by the Gallon for pretty cheap. Same Stuff as used in smoke machines for Disco's , Movie effects etc..... eta: I think Baby oil is mineral oil based? So if it was burning then it would be carcinogenic?? I though that it would burn before it vaporizes un-like 'ejuice'?
  7. Wow, didn't know these even existed! Does it run on e-juice ??? (Propylene Glycol & Vegetable glycerine )
  8. Here's my Kanyon v2 in it's natural environment, sporting it's v2 body-pack:
  9. Also, I believe that's it is quite an old , perhaps 'outdated' platform (chassis etc). FTX tend to re-release old models without fixing all the old faults, ,,, For Example: Kanyon V1 vs Kanyon V2 Exactly the same thing! Except they just added a two speed gearbox and a weak-ass winch !!!!!! Also added an extra Forty Quid !!!! :) I'm so pleased that I got mine second hand (but good condition + chassis mod already done for me) !!!!!! FTX should at the very least supply two lengths of pre-drilled aluminium L-Bar, for you to do the mod right out the box. Better still, listen to your consumers and fix the faults in your god-damned chassis !!! eta: Quote (reasons against Carnage) eta2 : Kanyon V2 ALSO has a better transmitter/receiver Radio bundle that only needs 4 AA batteries (instead of 8 Arghhh 😎 ! ) So Kinda' about/almost worth the extra money if you can afford it !
  10. Clear windows are better than black stickers , ever time, on any car! I like Clear Windows . That's why I chose a Fury 2.0 over the others
  11. Tomley, Please stick to what you love and are good at: Affordable RC's that the masses can afford to play with...... Not try to kill, break and fix. Although that's OK, if you can afford to fix what you damage and just love the 'wrenching' !!! The light that shines brightest burns out too soon. Unless you are Kev and diversify into an new light every time the old one looses commercial viability. That itself will eventually burn out. Kev will be forced to change tactic's more often than you (regarding YouTube). Because he has found a less stable but more profitable , yet shorter lived, niche. But he obviously has the energy and freedom for that, where as you are obviously a 'family man' , more relatable to Joe Public. eta: I'm pleased that we in the UK are blessed to have BOTH Kev AND Tomley , catering for slightly different tastes.
  12. Or if you can find an FTX Fury 2.0 For around £200 mark is a good deal. More manageable size, reverse twisting drive shafts, nicer motor and servo than the new Paso. Bead-lock tyres. Sorry, my posts above are serious but some not so .....! I'm new to this hobby really too.
  13. But the Kanyon is BIGGER than a mere' TRX4 !!!!! Chin it al' ova !!! (specially if you fuel it on cider)
  14. If your rich then a V2 for more like 200 smackers! If your multi-billion-rich then just flippin' get a TRX4 !!¬!!!!!!
  15. Hi, I recommend a Kanyon v1 Delivered for £152 (minus battery) from Time Tunnel Models. Then fit a fast(ish) brushless sensor'ed motor. -(Then maybe you won't need 2 speed-:) Maybe 3200 kv ??? Not sure yet, I will test on my v2 and tell you once I can afford it. But you HAVE to do at least the chassis reinforcement mod! It's cheap though. Don't take my advice though, I have been drinking cider and I love my Kanyon, but have had to mod it a little (soon a little more with brushless:).
