Would allow the overspill drain to sit in an empty space, and the line from the exhaust to the cap would still run fine. Thanks for the advice. The exhaust mount bolts to the chassis in that corner. For it to even sit where it is it'll need spacing to sit above it. Bit awkward. Was half tempted to cut that overspill part off.
Nitroholic
To be honest...the overspill bit doesn;t do much anyway. If you overfill the tank...its gonna run over the chassis anyway!
bishbashbosh
Well it's bodged in with cable ties, plumbed and the thing runs. However I can't seem to get it to idle without the rear wheels spinning. Moment you touch the wheels on the floor it cuts out. Try and reduce idle on carb gap and it cuts out before the wheels stop. It's got a 1mm or so gap and the fueling is set on what I read was factory figure, 3 turns out. Can turn engine and output gear independently so the clutch isn't totally locked up?! bishbashbosh
Done some reading. My wheels turn when the starter is pulled which is apparently bad news! Clutch strip down at weekend.
bishbashbosh
Clutch doesn't seem to need any parts. Suspect water ingress and seized roller bearing. Stripped, cleaned, greased the bearing and back together and starter no longer turns rear wheels.
