missing parts are ready, now just put it all together, decided at the end to strengthen the shock towers with additional alu plates so that's prepared for next week, after that car should be ready for final assembly and testing 🤞

oh forgot, center diff needs to be reworked but that's standard job...

some progress and annoyance, been able to complete steering knuckles and rear hubs with extra washers (those 2mm) so front/rear axle finished but I've been unable to unscrew the servo horn (stupid US hexes) during my upgrade of the servo so new servo horn ordered but another week wasted 🙄

tomorrow CNCing of the shock tower plates (2mm 7075 T6) and rework of the center diff so hopefully next week Monday everything's ready for final assembly 🤞 …. I might even enjoy it this year 😂

LSD rebuilt, not much to take care of other than thicker oil (100K) and outer washers, I like this gearbox, smooth as butter 👍

decided to change all screws to EU Hex type, plenty of spare from ST PRO screw kit, had enough with US crap...

we are finishing my friends, just few bits and pieces and she is ready to bash

new servo, new ESC, new gyro receiver, shock tower stiffeners, chassis skid plates, mud guards, both bumpers...

remaining to do: cut the unbreakable shell, tower to tower brace, battery holders

Plastics were cheap out of rcmart, I bought them months ago 😀 but ESC with wifi card not as much 🥴 , coz I need to program it this was the only option, original Dynamite ESC can’t be programed, gyro comes with GT5, original radio is absolute *****, servo was cheap as well, I will post total cost at the end of the build

forgot about dust protector between motor and gearbox, so added it this morning, it fits perfectly just cut small hole in the middle

and here she is, fully forgot about how big she is and definitely one of the best looking MT on the market (at least for me)

so lets sum it all up

recommended upgrades:

CNCing of the hubs - depends, you might get it for free from friends or work, I paid around 40£, extra 2mm M8 washers are required afterwards

Exotek Racing Aluminum Front C Hubs - 30£ + shipping

tower stiffeners - 2mm alu 7075 plate around 30£ + 20£ for CNC job

tower to tower brace - less than 10£ for alu tube, screws and 18mm long stands

thicker oil in all diffs, shimming not required - doesn't wheelie as much and doesn't diff out as much

optional upgrades:

alu/nylon longer battery holders - CNC job 30£

TBR parts - around 100£

Exotek Racing Aluminum Rear Hubs - 30£ + shipping

Faster servo - K-power MM3000 would fit or any other 1/6 scale, around 30£

with recommended upgrades around ~700£, if no CNCing cost than around 650£

with optional upgrades around ~900£

is it worth it? for me yes, I paid more for Hobao and this is in different league, handles better, jumps better, looks better (to me) with local support of the spare parts

As many Ytubers and owners said, this is one easy to handle MT and real fun to drive, they were all correct 👍

Just a quick recap in this truck, 1 of the best handling and durable RC's out there. Only problem I've had and has been mentioned by the other guy on this post is the dog bones breaking the cups on landings.

I bought alloy upgrades when I bought the truck but never needed then, front & rear hubs. I fitted these just because I was bored and that somehow has fixed the problem
