For the lack of power those have imo they're a bit of a rip-off.

The overlander 80w that Stretch suggested is about the best and most popular budget charger.

Next choice for 2s for me would be -

http://www.acrodrones.co.uk/product/skyrc-d100-acdc-balance-charger/

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SkyRC-D100-AC-DC-Battery-Charger-Dual-Balance-Discharger-2-6-Cells-for-RC-Models-/302262548447?_trksid=p2349526.m2548.l4275

Just enough power (50w per channel on the AC) to do 2 of yours at once although if you ever go to a single 4s it won't be enough

You'd actually be fine with a couple of the cheaper Imax B6.

If only you'd asked a few months back, prices have gone pathetic now :(

I'll stick to my DC 1000w beasts & psu's with para boards

I've got the skyRC q200, which is a bit more but definitely quality bit of kit, if you're only after a dual I would second the skyRC d100 but the v2!

I got mine off gearbest! Works flawlessly!!

The Q200 is £140+ nowadays too :ack:

If the batteries are all the same size and cell count and you'll always stay with equal sizes I'd look into parallel charging myself.

It's pretty straight forward with a higher power charger (110w+)

Or... you can also charge 2x2s of same capacity as a single 4s with a series lead . That's where I started and it worked excellent, cut your charge times literally in half if you do them one at a time :D

https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-reaktor-250w-10a-1-6s-balance-charger.html

and then whatever para board you need.

Much more bang for buck and you'd only be running it at 40% with 2 lipo's on at 1C

Or just go with 2 Overlanders.

I avoid AC chargers as they initial outlay is high. If they break you have the same outlay again and there isn't really one powerful enough for my 6s at 1C anyway.

With psu + DC you still have the initial outlay but if one goes the outlay is only half this time.

If you want dual and slightly more wattage 2x100 go with the overlander

People have reported issue with touchscreen models so don't let the limit your choice.

Touch screens are iffy indeed by the sounds of it.

Nice option. However if you read the blurb you only get 1x100 or 2x50 on the AC. 2x100 can only be achieved on DC with a separate psu. Be alright with 2s though.

You have to read a scrutinise every detail with these things. The way they market some of them is a bit of a con and you'll end up disappointed.

I still say for normal AC charging get an Overlander RC6 80w for each lipo if you want to do more than one.

Or

Go bigger with a para board if lipo's are all the same.

Just a thought , do any of the suggested chargers do discharge plus , or does anybody know of a cheapish charger that does this mode .

What is discharge plus never heard of it? Do you mean storage mode?

Yeah I nearly fell into the trap a while ago until I read the small print and it said on ac output was lower.

No it’s a mode where you can tell the charger to monitor the external discharge , ie making the battery discharge into an array of say light bulbs , or resistors so the unused fully charged battery discharges through them , and the charger monitors the packs cell voltage and then stops the battery from going below storage charge , so putting back to storage charge instead of leaving the battery at full charge , the battery can be discharged a lot faster as the built in discharger has limited discharge capacity .

Only heard of "regenerative discharge" where you can discharge into an external source like a bigger battery or resistor rig at high rates.

Don't think the ones above would do that. Looking at the bigger 600w+ units for things like that I reckon.

I think my Turnigy mega 1000 might do this (haven't looked), the skyrc ultimate 1000 definitely does.

Most 50-100w units can only handle 5-10w on discharge which takes all day. Ends up running at 0.3A flat out for a 6s

Yes daz same thing , it’s just the charger controls the cut off voltage , ive not seen any cheaper chargers that do this , just wondered if anybody had seen one about .

the turnigy reactor quadcore 1200w does this .

A lot of info to read through here, how come you get better output on the dual charges when running via DC? I was a little unsure on the touch screen as worried it might get damaged while in pit box & in transit just seemed like a nice convenient feature since most things are touch these days

That's a bummer, at that price my LHS was a better bet!

Bmm had the d100 for about 85 last time I went in! And they had a little wiggle on the price to!

I think I've decided on this

https://www.modelsport.co.uk/skyrc-d100-v2-ac-dc-dual-balance-charger/rc-car-products/421359

Then at track i can charge via AC with output of 50w per channel & i assume 100w to 1 channel if only 1 in use? Then at home via a PSU 2 x 100w should do everything i need & more

If you still haven't bought it...check out gearbest for the SkyRC q200

https://www.gearbest.com/multi-rotor-parts/pp_366278.html

£115 at the moment!

I bought mine from there a few weeks ago for £125!

Bargain price! However, the D100 v2 is a pretty decent kit as well.
