Stilli
My Orion packs recommend storing between 20-25 deg C and if they have been exposed to low temperatures do not put them under load until they have reached the recommended ambient temperature. SMC recommend that their batteries are never exposed to extreme temperatures and should be used/stored between 4 - 49 deg C (40 - 120 deg F). So to store in a fridge would be against the manufacturers recommendations.

turok007
people in hot countries do store them in a fridge. and it works so unless the temp of your room is very high then you will be ok.

Pathaleon
Mine are in a lipo bag in the garage. I think the fridge sounds a little extreme and I wouldn't fancy a lipo fire in my fridge.

Tamiyacowboy
mine are in ammo tins and some are in lipo bags in the tins. THIS !!!!!!! What you do is fairly easy and simple. your going to make what we call a LIPO BUNKER. first off you need to grab an ammo tin. but there are a few things to note. one is size, ammo tins come in different sizes depending on what rounds they held. for RC stuff we tend to purchase either a 7.62 ammo can, or a .50 cal ammo can. 7.62 ammo can is ideal for your 2s and 3s lipos .50cal ammo can is ideal for your 4s -6s upwards. Now you find these in old army surplus stores and on places like ebay-amazon. once you get your can give it a clean out, just an old brush and give it a good dusting out. open the lid up from the front. on the inside of the lid you can see a rubber seal. you can Pull this out or cut the front and rear parts out. you can also or if not drill a few vent holes. idea is to vent fumes otherwise we could blow the can out. so breather holes or removal of the seal is a good idea. thats your bunker made. you can paint the outside if you wish add stickers and go wild. but its ready to use. LIPO BAGS : these are a secondary fire break , storing each battery in its own bag/pouch helps minimise setting them off in a fire breakout. they will contain the fire and help keep it away from other batterys in the bunker they also allow wires to be kept apart from other batterys and no chance of a short. all my lipos are now stored in an ammo can , no fridge no freezer just plain old nature in a can
