Threadlock Cooling Head Bolts

Should i thread lock the bolts that hold the cooling head to the block?

I've never needed to do it - there's no reason for them to come loose :)

I've never done it either - tbh too they've proven hard enough to remove at times over the years without it.

No as the heat from the engine would cancel what the thread lock is doing anyway just get a really good hex driver and tighten them up the constant heat then cooling will sometimes cause them to get really tight this is why when I need to strip an engine I undo the head bolts just after it's been run

Good advice Neil, I've cream crackered a fair few bolts over the years trying to remove them off old/cold lumps.
