I've never needed to do it - there's no reason for them to come loose I've never done it either - tbh too they've proven hard enough to remove at times over the years without it. fatboyneil Posted May 30, 2015 Share Posted May 30, 2015 No as the heat from the engine would cancel what the thread lock is doing anyway just get a really good hex driver and tighten them up the constant heat then cooling will sometimes cause them to get really tight this is why when I need to strip an engine I undo the head bolts just after it's been run Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
