Much More GP 2015

Recommended Posts

The dates have been released for the Much More GP 2015:

  • Stonehaven: 25th / 26th July
  • Carlisle: 22nd / 23rd August

The following classes are raced:

  • Pro-Stock 13.5t
  • Modified
  • SPEC class
  • Mini

For anyone who hasn't been to this event before, I highly recommend it, it's a great weekend. Camping is usually allowed on-site with bathroom facilities. The Friday of both weekend is usually a practice day. There is also usually some other rc related activities in the evening like twin racing, i.e. two racers using one radio, one guy steers, one guy throttle.

If anyone wishes further info, please get in touch with myself. It'd be good to meet some other racers off the forum.

This years Mini rules haven't been fully confirmed but it should be very similar to last year.

  • any commercial fwd chassis
  • 7.2v nimh or 7.4v lipo
  • Muchmore black club man motor, Tamiya silver can or Tamiya torque tuned. These are usually available to by on the day if you don't have.

I'm pretty sure a minimum weight limit will be introduced this year to make things a bit fairer for those running light weight TOP Sabres. The most common chassis is Tamiya M05's.

It's great fun RCbutcher, last year it was a 10 lap race and at some point you had to pull in and have a pit stop where your team would remove all your wheels and fit them again. You also had to swap over the controls at some point in the race, so whoever operated the throttle had to swap and operate the steering. Such a good laugh and surprisingly very few crashes :sweatdrop:

You should try make it to Carlisle RCButcher, I'll even sort you out with a car to race
