My Hyper 7e. Hobbywing Xerun 150A, 18t pinion on a Castle 1515l 2200kv, cnc knuckles and ST shock towers with HPI Vorza shock tower protectors, doubled up chassis braces and some homemade bits made from carbon faced fibreglass:

(Pre cracked shell incident last weekend)

Still have yet to fit ally centre diff mounts I bought a few weeks ago to both cars.

Hopefully an ST will join these two at some point :)

This is possibly one of the nicest hypers I've seen. It's awesome. What body shell is that and what on road wheels are you running? Are they off the hyper gt?

Need some advice..... I have a Nosram 3.5t brushless 9000kv can I installl it in the Hyper st. Also have a 10t 3000kv brushless.... Which is the better option... Reason for conversuon is I keep breaking pullstarts. Any help with gear ratios will help.

Neither really - far too high kv.  If either might manage (with a tiny pinion) it'll be the 3000 - though I expect it won't have enough torque and will overload the esc.

St needs 1400-2000kv ish for 6s - for 4s 1900k-2200ish with a motor ideally 40/42mm wide and 64mm long as a min.  Longer the motor the better though as greater torque generally - I've seen some ppl using long can 36mm motors in truggy's - so a 3674 might manage (I wouldnt though).

The motors mention are ideal for 1/10 models not 1/8

These are what need to using in 1/8 models alongside with a 150a esc

Thanks for the complement buddy, sorry about the late reply, I haven't been on here much as life is busy atm. The shell doesn't look as nice now lol but it's just a plain hyper tq2 shell that I bought clear and painted myself.

I forget the wheel/tyre brand, I think it was either Core RC or Absima. They were cheap - around

Trust me Craig once the Combo is sorted ;) ;) :whistling: she will be muddy

And the best part of getting em muddy is .... cleaning!  I stripped the ST down in Feb/Mar time after a session at Carsington Water and she's still in parts :/  Not enough hours in the day atm.

Welcome!

Shock oil 35-45w, generally lighter in the front.  For brushless you need a nice heavy oil in the centre diff - 50k upwards ( I use 60 atm as that's what I have, heavier the oil the more 'locked' the diff will be).  Front and back is more subjective, though again most prefer slightly heavier in the front to the rear - altering this will affect handling/steering on or off power etc.  Iirc my buggies are usually 10-60-7 or 7-6-5.

im going nitro so does that make a difference with the centre diff?

ps - thanks for the quick response :)

Np, the easy answer is yes - I doubt you need anything near that thick - though i've never run a Nitro with a centre diff so I'd get some advice from others.  I saw your pic sans engine and wrongly presumed you we're going brushless.

i was going to go brushless originally but my mate has offered me his LRP .32 engine for nothing so im going to put that in it and see what happens. cant wait to get it finished.
