tolska
Hello everyone, Hi all, just thought of an electric start for nitro engines.. Do they exist? I wondered if there was a way to install an electric start on a nitro engine using the electrics...sound crazy? The reason I ask is because I know you can get the electric start for cars, motorbikes, ect which made me start to wonder if it would be possible to do the same with RC? I did have a look around online but failed to find anything maybe I'm searching wrong, maybe the electrics can be changed somehow to read an additional button, this would then make the rotor spin without having to use a pull start or a drill again... It probably sounds stupid and may not even be able to be done but it's got stuck in my head...
Gazlam
There is a electric start for the 1/5 petrol, that I do know. Not sure on the nitro side though. I'm sure somebody has done it...

Nitroholic
Sort of works....and does the glow starter ignition as well. You really have to make sure you charge the battery! Losi 10SCT also had electric start .... ROSS ... remote onboard starter system http://www.losi.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=LOSB0126

Nitroholic
Not worth it in either case in my view. Just another battery to charge and another system that if it fails, renders your car un-startable. The Losi system was purely for showing off
