What you should do is use serrated wheel nuts.  HPI ones off the vorza,trophy are perfect ;)  tis a common issue with TT MT4

 

Also you need to wash all the alu threads with brake cleaner or the likes to remove any left over sllippery stuff.  Including the servo saver!

After I managed to strip a couple of hexes I started gluing the hex into the wheels, never had a problem since.

Depends on scale and hex type. If using standard hexes on things like the hyper, the locking pin goes all the way through the hex nut, that is then covered by the wheel. :thumbsup:

This comment was only made in reference to the mta4/mgt as the hex can be slotted over the pin with the hex glued into the wheel. The 14mm hexes on the older trucks were never up to the job but gluing them into the wheels works a treat.
