Yep the RB6 sold all my 8th gear just my Kyosho now, and a EMB-1 one in the next 4 week,

You got the perfect cars for racing locally! 10th buggy and micro are ran every week at South West Indoor RC, and West Cornwall Radio Control Car Club down Redruth. Plus Torbay once a month runs both with huge numbers..

I don't drive, so it's been a problem so Redruth I will need a lift, Liskeard not to bad, it's taken months to get a scooter 125 one not a 50. Plus the GF works eves, but I'm now about ready at last so if all goes to plan, I will be coming this week, I sold my EMB-1 few months back shame will get another one soon.

Sounds good, throw it all in a bag and pop down on ya scooter! :) There's quite a few people locally go to Torbay so you could more than likely get a lift there for a bit of petrol dosh...

Ah great news :)

Jonny if you can try and pop down at some point. The race nights are pretty epic! Its a shame it all went wrong with your car when you came down last.

The first race night for this year is this Thursday the 15th :)

Lipo's all charged up. New front arms and slightly thicker shock oil. Hopefully that will stop wearing out the arms. Should be fun tonight and then Torbay on Sunday :)

The new slingshot banked corner looks like it should be interesting! Gonna be some battles around that for sure. Better order some more front arms lol

Opened the doors and extended a section of the track outside. Had some good racing and a couple of flights in the Valley too :)

SATURDAY JUNE 27th - ROUND 3

For the 3rd time Saturday is Race day at SWIRC

The idea behind this day is to get as many people down to the track/club that don't usually get the time to come down on our usual Thursday evening race meets. We all have a good nights racing on a Thursday so we are planning to run it once a month on the weekend though out the summer :)

The track will be open on that Saturday from 8.30am with the racing starting as close to 10am as possible so get down as early as you like for some practice. The days racing will finish around 3.30/4pm.

Also be a number of people with Quadcopter/Multi rotors to fly in the valley in between heats and races so if you have one bring it down.

Bring your own food as we will be lighting the BBQ :)

Race details & classes we will be running
10th 2wd
10th 4wd
Micro
Vintage (if numbers permit)
Novice racer (any age)

There will be 6 rounds and 1 Final each. 5 min heats and 6 min finals. Its the best of 4 rounds to count. The computer will be set on auto so the day can run as smoothly as possible :)

The timing system we use is an RC4 system so its compatible with all current transponders, if you don't own a transponder then we have handouts for the day, these must be returned after each race.

The cost of the whole race day is

We all had an awesome day! The racing was brilliant! The flying over the valley was brilliant too! :D We even had to do a SWIRC rescue mission to go find the fpv plane on the viaduct attempt lol! We couldn't have wished for better weather, the sun was out all day and it was HOT!

A few pictures below but the rest of the pics and vids can be seen via the link above :)

Looking good,

How many people are you getting now on a race day?

Yesterday there was 12 of us racing but we usually have 15+. I got my dates mixed up for this one so it only had 5 days notice for the event. The fb event wasn't even live :(

We are going to aim for 20 for the next one. I can think of another 6 to 7 people who want to come so with 4 weeks notice before the next one i think we can crack the 20 :D

The setting is brilliant, the flying and bbq just adds to the day, we even managed some fishing on the lake too. i can't wait for the next one :)

what body is on the associated rc10? i really like it

It's the Associated RC10 Protech body, the one that comes with the Gold Tub Classic Rere. It's the High Downforce wing though, not the one that comes with e Protech shell. The car is a gold tub, but is essentially a Worlds Car with all the parts I've put one it, I just prefer the gold chassis!
