budget hyper 7 conversion (now with video of my choices)

I have the same setup as dubberz.I'm sticking with 3s it's useable and still abit of a handful.will happily slide the back in the bends which I like.

Hi m8 how would you say it compares to the nitro? I'm still not sure what lipo's to go with :/

Compared to the 4.1 engine that was in my other hyper I would say it's as quick. Round my local track a dude with a TQ2 hyper running the stock .21 engine couldn't live with it at all!

Good traction, good punch and handling feels balanced.

I got around 12-20 laps out of a 5000mah 3s Lipo. I think the 4s will see unsettle it to be honest. Just make sure your running lipos that are 30c and above discharge and also 4000mah and above. That way you'll get enough amps to maximise the motor (trackstar 2300 runs 140a max punch)

Forgot to mention, she jumps well! I have big bore shocks, standard black springs and a no4 spacer on all 4 shocks. Not done anything with diff or shock oils as they seem pretty good.

One thing to mention is make sure you threadlock motor screws, pinion grub, diff mount screws and drive cup grubs! Brushless power + jumps = loose shizzle!

Jesus bloody christ it's fast!!!

No grip. Couldn't get full throttle down for more than a second. Although it is raining on semi slick tyres it's quick.  Much quicker than the nitro!

I think you have a slight bend in your tx aerial?

It's also raining, hence the water on the tx aerial .

Well I tried reaching top speed... It's a little unstable due to one of the front shocks being tie wrapped on but it gives a little idea. Still spinning the wheels on the way past the Camera. Difficult!

Yeah 2x 2s'S so technically 4s. I just noticed the massive oversteer moment at the start!

It'll go faster top speed but I ran out of brave pills especially with it coming towards me lol
