I think the bart pipe might hinder the performace the vrc pipes have been developed for the big bore

Have you seen the size of the big bore VRC compared to stock? It really will hinder performance... And I absolutely LOVE the Bartolone pipe... But for this engine, it's wise to go with the VRC big bore

on these engines and scale it makes a massive difference! look at the difference between a stock pipe and a dom for example. maybe worth saving your cash until you've learnt a bit more

In this case, yes it will, it's a big bore engine that will work a LOT better on a big bore pipe.

Also when you buy the engine and pipe combination together, the pipe works out cheaper than the Bartolone anyway.

Haha i know plenty about these engines its not exactly going to be a snail with a bart is it ? And if i need a big bore ill look into fabricating my own bigbore from a bart. After looking at obrs is simple to fab up using 80% of the original pipe

If they didn't need a bigger pipe they wouldn't have spent thousands developing one, they would have just used the normal pro pipes, but here's the baja pipes the top one is a normal pro pipe bottom big bore pipe

Correct it won't be a snail, but does seem a bit of a lost battle to spend more on something that will be slower... Unless of course you already have the Bartolone pipe... I'd still spend the extra if I was spending that much personally.

Opinions always differ though.

I am talking to Sonic about getting one of these now and he is sorted a deal out for me and Lee (owner of ultimate RC as we bash together) and Sonic said that the Bartalone will be fine with a minor modification of the port.

I prefer the VRC pipes anyway, I've got a Bart pipe on the DBXL and it's ok but I think a VRC would give it a little more

If you've already got the Bartolone then yeah use it, I was meaning it makes no sense if you don't have one lol.

Bartolone XP Big Bore is a fantastic pipe in it's own right.

The normal pro pipes do work just not aswell as for the bartalone pipe should fit will just need to adjust the header needs bolt holes bigger and wider as these exhaust bolts are 5mm ... so can either do that or modify a header pipe to fit a bartalone pipe
