hello im back for more gearing advice!

i bought a blaze 2750kv 1/8 motpr for my losi 8 truggy a couple of weeks back and since ive been getting a little confused with the gearing. i ran the motor on 15/45 and the truggy flies, the motor temps were around 50

What he said^. If running on 4s lipo, more like ~2000-2300kv would be much better, ~2700kv is better suited to a buggy ( on maybe 3s at that.... ). I'm impressed that 1 tooth on the pinion made such a difference in temps though, usually you need to go up or down 2 or 3 to see a real large jump or drop in temps. 1 tooth on the spur won't make any difference at all though- seems like there may be another cause to the sudden change in temps ( driving style, ambient temps, surface conditions/traction etc )...
