  1. As requested. My left hand was trapped at the wrist stopping the engine from moving far enough forward, it was a little painful!
  2. I had to drop the engine out and asked dad for help, he decided to let go of the engine whilst I was holding it, it trapped both of my hands and instead of helping he calls mum out to get a photo of me and stand there laughing! I've also started to paint a few bits, I've sprayed my yokes and forks black, I've started to spray parts of the frame black tulip (dark purple) but I'm not sure what colour to do the tank and front mud gaurd... Any ideas?
  3. Hello. For the last 4 years I've wanted to get a motorcycle and spend some time stripping it, repaint and rebuild it into a cafe racer. Well I've got a 2003 Suzuki gs500 which I've been using as a winter bike and now its time for me to put it back on the road ready for winter. I knew it needed alot of work doing to it like headrace bearings, wheel bearings and engine work plus other things so I've decided to use this as my project. So far I've spent around 8 hours working on it, its gone from a complete bike to just a frame. I've done front wheel bearings and fork seals, I just need to pull the swing arm out, repaint the frame and start rebuilding. Here are some pictures of the work so far....
  4. its been quite a while since ive been on here, just over 8 months! havent had chance to go racing or bashing since January due to a couple of different reasons but im hoping im back for good now

  5. AAnd like I said.....I don't know because I do not personally own a firearms licence, I use dad's guns with him stood next to me.
  6. I wouldn't know sorry, I don't hold a firearms licence myself, I'm with dad whenever we go shooting. Plus we don't really do much with the air rifles.
  7. I shoot but not really with the small stuff...I own a .22 air rifle but I also have access to 2x .22 rimfire rifles, a side by side 12 bore shotgun, a 22250, a .308 ex police rifle and a black powder pistol..that's just what we own. When I go to the range I can use anything that's there, mainly muzzle load, black power plus many other ex military rifles from ww1 and ww2, oh a delisle and a couple of rare guns (I can't quite remember the name)
  8. not bad I suppose....3 months ago I ordered some parts for the mini 8ight from modelsport, yesterday I received a conformation email! I forgot I ordered them!

  9. Hello As some my of heard my Hobbywing xerun speedo has just committed suicide after 2 years. Looks like nothing else is damaged but anyway I've been looking at different speedo that are on the market but there are too many to choose from! I have a losi 8ight t 2.0 with a Leopard 4082 (I think its the 2050kv one) and I'd like to run 4s and 5s lipos. I've been looking at the LRP IX8, its at a reasonable price of
  10. the speedo in my 8ight t just caught fire!! turned it on, saw some smoke and as I pulled the lipos out there was a big cloud of smoke and flames!! burnt my finger in the process but it probably saved the lipos from going up! do you think the motor will be fine or is that toast?

No motor wasn't running, at least that saves some money to put towards a new speedo I suppose!

  11. A work colluege mentioned not long ago he bought himself a new bike, a Yamaha R1, on his way home he decided to go via the motorway to "test ride" the new bike and found himself doing 160mph in a 70mph limit. Another lad I know picked up his first big bike, he also decided to "test ride" it on the motorway on the way home and found himself doing 177mph in a 70mph limit I can safely say they both have grown out of being idiots and a also carry the consequences of riding like an idiot (broken bones, 3+ months in hospital, driving points/fines). Unlike an old school mate who decided to race his mate on the dual carriage way. His mate got pulled by the police and got done for speeding, 95mph average speed in a 70mph limit. The lad I knew decided to go back to find him, was pulled by the police and got done for averaging 120mph in a 70mph, his slowest recorded speed was 75mph. I admit I'm not perfect, I speed but I do it on one condition...when I know I'm the only one on the road. That way if anything happens I can guarentee I'm the only one that gets hurt, not some innocent person who is passing by.
  12. 4 bottles of whiskey sat here and I'm running out of ideas of what to have with it, I normally drink it neat but I've decided to try different things with it like orange juice, lemonade and coke...what else could I try?

  15. Its a lot cheaper to buy the bearing set. I went to the local bearing man and for just 4 large wheel bearings and 4 small wheel bearings it came to
  16. That would be great, thank you
  17. great day at the bike show in the NEC. got to see and sit on my dream bike...the Ducati 1199 Panigale R. now with even more power and less weight! saw the Kawasaki H2R on a dyno, looks daft there's too many parts sticking off in different angles but sound amazing. reminded me of being at the IoM TT

The r1m looks nice, there's a lot of carbon fibre on it and quite a few other goodies. The rcv is hard to see/get to. Its about 8 foot up on a platform, you can get to the motogp replica of it and a wsb replica (I think). The hp4 isn't there, the RR sport version is though.

  18. Anyone with spares they don't need?
  19. In the workshop we use Q bond on the fairings and other body panels. Works really well and will also bond metal.
  20. Now that is what I'm looking for, thank you. Looks like I'm going for a spectrum stick tx!
  21. Thank you all for the info, I'm looking at the core rc pro 3ch and the spectrum dx5. I'd rather the spectrum but only if I can find a throttle return spring. Is there a way to modify the sticks so they only do one action..I.e the throttle side only moves forward/back and the steering left/right instead of both sticks moving in both directions?
