anythinkwithaengine
hi guys just to let you all know we are in the late stages of building a rc track in watchet west somerset near minhead its not a huge track but its out the way of houses and public so its perfect its right next to watchet marina it over looks the sea and marina and on a nice day is a great location the field was origionaly left for several years and overgrown with very thick brambles and all types of plants witch were all mowed flat and a track was marked out and rotovated out 2 days ago now all thats left to do is rake the track smooth flatten it build a few jumps and find some sort of high point to stand when driving also not the track can be extended easyly as there is plenty of land but all covered in brambles so if we can get enuf hands on deck we could easyly extend the track at a later date i will leave a few piks and if you have any questions please ask i am having dificultys loading piks on here everytime i add a new pik it overwrites the old pik but i have tons more but i think you can get the idead from the picture there has been more work done since the picture but only finishing touches to be done as it stands we are trying to attract as much rc people as possible to help out with the track and to maybe start up a club nothing to serious more fun and games but if we get enuf attention and people on board the track could easyly be extended and used for race meets but for now its once step at a time if you would like to go and see the track as it is your more than welcome too and we need asmuch help as we can get as so far its been 4 of us going up 2 at a time for a few hours every few days so progress has been slow but will be completed shortly if you need any more info or want to come give us all a hand please get in touch we are a friendly bunch and apreciate any help last but not least just like to say thanks to roger and rob for organising this !!! anythinkwithaengine
hi guys just a quik update after raking the track and triiming the edges its all cut out perfect and been left for a few days we have been up there 2day with 3 or 4 nitro cars and we have found there is a big problem the mud is to fine and dry and it just kicks dust up everywhere a ansman 1/8th buggy had its clucth clogged up whithin 2 laps and was filthy with dust so was the other nitros all had problems running after 2 laps due to fine dust airfilters clogged and jets clogged with fine dust so its undecided yet we are going to wait for a harsh downpour with rain and see how it settles becuase as it stands its a great track but its just destroying cars so quik the only other option is to rake it and put grass seeds down and wait a looongggggg time for it to grow and harden then mow ever and use or last option is get some sort of carpte to lay down but thats going to cost alot of money if anybody has any ideas please let me know thanks

If you still need a whacker plate then I should be able to borrow one for free. I can also get free soil if you need to build jumps or anything.I also have transport to get it all there. anythinkwithaengine
How do you access this track.I know how to get to the harbour, where do you go from there?Going to pop down and have a look at some point. hi mate you go to the harbour and go in the harbour car park walk to the end of it asif you was walking towards the sea and there is a path up to the right and up them stairs its up there or you can walk along side the railway path and up them stairs its not hard to find its right next to the big white phone mast when you plan on having a look let me know and ill pop down also been up there today and the rain has flattend the ground but is stillm spongey would be great if was attacked with a whakker plate and flatend but it will need mowing again as its grown fast and theres plants growning on the actualy track so we need to take action soon to keep it maintained but once its done the rc cars will stop and plants growing all we will have to do is mow the grass around the track but yeah please come down and have a look just let me know when you plan to bud
