Ziggy122
Right Since i rounded some of my screws for my heatsink to attach to the crank case i ordered some new ones But not only are the heads bigger, BUT the thread is also They fit into the heat sink, but the screw threads are too small for the screws to fit in So do i, Keep pushing the new screws in till it bites and makes a new thread? Ziggy NO. You will run the risk of cracking the engine casing . Get some screws the right size. DAVE.

Nick
If you go to B&Q you can buy "Tap & Die" set. These allow you to re-thread the hole and remove any screws that might be still stuck inside. It comes with all sizes of threads, M2/3/4/5 etc etc. They don't cost much either. About £10.

I would re-cheque the order numbers as they cant be to correct ones as you have said the heads are bigger and the threads are as well. Only trying to help mate as you have spent a lot of money on the re-build. It would be a shame to create another problem by trying to force a screw in. DAVE. Not worth it, Modelsport should sort and claim it off HPI They produced them wrong Im going contact HPI to see what they say, but looks like the engine is going to be out of service for even longer!! My Grandad said its not worth it either, im better off getting replacements off a replacement These are the right screws! DAVE. they are the correct parts The manual says for the heat sink screws are Z544, and the packet they came in say Z544 So its sumet todo with HPI and there production. Knowing them, they have made the new crankcase holes bigger (better grip) and not though about how they affect people with smaller holes Ziggy Im gonna be on the phone first thing to Modelsport and get what they say
