first of all do you have a kill switch ? if not speak to jolly_roger_uk on here he makes them DO NOT RUN IT WITHOUT ONE

as its a km my first port of call would b to strip down the rear diff and clear out the greaase and apply the appropriate grease

secondly id buy a decent servo for the t/b setup the more kgs the better the brakes the quicker the stop

thirdly- fit killswitch run in engine

tune and enjoy till you know you want a tuned pipe :)

Thanks cool video.

I know it has the standard kill switch on the engine. I noticed the throttle servo is a bit bum too but other than that its good for a first 1/5 sounds nice not sure what its like performance wise as havnt dobe the 10 - 15 minute high throttle runs yet only managed to get tick over, low throttle and a little more throttle done.

Not a standar one! One you have to plug in RX & coil so it remote kills the engine if loss signal

or you activate on 3rd channel. You should do a little research

I run half a tank through my 002c 5b baja, only had half a tank of fuel, the rest iv got is to old now, the flash point goes off petrol not that its noticeable with these but you can tell with a highly tuned car/bike, I used to put a fuel additive in my ford cross flow engine, it wouldnt run on anything other than 4 star and i used to be able to get 4 star from sainsburys petrol station, I dont think they do it now,

but id advice you use a good oil, motor cross oil it good, dont go for the garden tool 2 stroke, its not made to use on these highly tuned motor,

if its new to you aswell? Set your end point up on your transmitter aswell so you dont get full throttle for the first few tanks, I can maybe tell you how to set your end point if you dont no how to set it up ill try and do it over the forum or phone pal.

Cool well am new to the 1/5th but had many different nitro rcs in my time first 2 stroke tho but I have had many 2 stroke motorcross bikes till last summer when I converted to a 4 stroke supermoto lol.

I managed to fit my kill switch today and thats all working fine so took it out for another 25 minutes doing some short busts of full throttle next week. Got a video put together on my youtube channel.

They can take it, lol! I used to tip toe around with mine, but when I knew it was run in correctly I just gave it what for, try not to roll it to much thou itll start costing you, try being nice and smooth with the throttle and slow your steering down a bit to start with and then you'll not give it to much over steer dig in and flipping it over, nice abd smooth till you get used to it, do you use the end point on your transmitter?

and also you've got your shocks set real hard, maybe you wanted them hard thats why its wheeliing every where, it looks ace though mate cracking little motor, is that the 002a 23cc?

Edited by flatout!

Yeah I originally set them hard but have changed them now so there set a lot softer now, na the 002a is a 29cc pretty much the same as the oo2b but different colouring

Yes thats right, sorry I had the 002b 29cc the orange one, its was great and it got nicked, and the guys on here clubbed together and got me the 002c 29cc ported, ive only static run a half a tank through it, iv got to finish the static run in and then im going to run 1/4 throttle for another 2 tanks, and then I no that the piston ring is nicly seated, it pays to run them in slowly with a hot and cold cycle in between the first static tank and then up and down running the rest at 1/4 throttle, I use the end point on my transmitter to get the different throttle settings

Sorry, this is not good advice. Static running is neither necessary nor desired with the lack of airflow for cooling. Just be sensible for a tank. No wide open throttle. Switch off a couple of times to thermal cycle. Makes sure you don't coast, keep blipping the throttle to get the fuel (oil) in.

These are not highly tuned engines, they are just cheap and nasty motors which we get charged, and pay, far to much for.
