  1. I found the YouTube explaining why it's pinging. Going to use the pinch test for the LSN, then tuning should be complete 👍🏻 😃
  2. Great morning in the sun with the Carnage! One 10 minute blast from the SkyRC engine heater and it fired up within 10 pulls 😎 1st accomplishment of the session! Then after all that turnbuckle twizzling, the very dramatic pull to the right has reduced to a very slight pull to the right under hard acceleration. 2nd accomplishment! Finally completed the break in phase and moved onto tuning. Very pleased with myself 🤣 So this is how my tuning went. 1. Lots of blue smoke on full throttle runs but Does not feel boggy at all... never stalled since I've bought it. Temps on glow plug about 120/130'F Kept leaning HSN until it was too fast for my car park!lol... checked glow plug temp and it was 150/160F. However around the glow plug (4 screw heads) temp was 210/220F... so I stopped leaning HSN..... Question: can I ignore the 200+ temps as my glow plug temp was well under 200F?? Question: I'm 3.5 anticlockwise turns from fully screwed in HSN. Is this normal? Or should I be closer to fully screwed in HSN. (Struggled to explain this question lol) 2. I then moved onto LSN.... any adjustment I do to this needle I get a 'chattering' noise when I come off throttle. I remember seeing this in a youtube but I can't remember which one. LSN is 2.5 anticlockwise turns out from fully screwed in. Question: what causes the chattering? Maybe HSN is too rich still? I don't know 😕 🤷 Looking forward to hearing your answers as I've got another 2 hour session tomorrow 🥳😎😁 Thanks, Antony
  3. Heading out to yelverton rock in the morning. Wet roads/grass won't be a problem will they? There may be drizzle on and off aswell.  Car is splash proof isn't it? 🤔

Family matters over ruled my hobby lol. I was roped into editing wife's Uni work 😫 back in London now. I'm determined to finish breaking it in tomorrow 🤞🏻🙏🏻👍🏻

  4. Just watched their YouTube, looks like they offer a great beginner service , gun selection, fitting etc . 👍🏻
  5. Yeah i saw them online, they do sound very good 👍🏻 I live 5 mins from: www.thegunroom.co.uk a great looking store but the one interaction I had with a lady was pretty blunt and unhelpful 😕
  6. Thank you for that comprehensive response! So much information to digest and look into. I enjoy shooting all types of guns so for me the main pull towards one or the other gun/club will be the supporting community. Whilst I'm getting to grips with this new Nitro hobby I'll have a look at the Airgun forum 👍🏻
  7. Is anyone from this forum a member of any South West shooting clubs? It's always something I have been interested in, just never had anyone to go with 😒🤣
  8. Hi Steve, sounds like the forum has gained another knowledgeable member 👍🏻 I'm brand new so get use to my dumb questions 🤣👍🏻
  9. Drive safe bud 👍🏻
  10. I'm definitely not the one to be organising meets just yet. Lol. I'm back in Plymouth and need to finish breaking my car in! Thought the big car park at Lee Mill was a good shout before it opens. Got my turnbuckle tool now, just spent 1hr twizzling 🤣 I think I've got both front wheels toe / camber the same now 🤞🏻need to make it run straight before the full throttle runs. Please come over to say hello if your in the area 😁 I'll be the guy with the Nitro car going round in circles 🤣🤣
  11. lol, definitely a good call to give that a miss today ! I just hope Tesco Lee Mill car park is ok for Sunday night lol, I need to finish breaking in my car 😂🤞
  12. Fingers crossed its like a snow day where everyone stays off the roads lol 🤞 Plymouth update from the wife lol , wheelie bins are secure, little boys trampoline is all bent! Its a sturdy bugger so it must be pretty bad already 😕
  13. Leaving London Red zone at 1300 and driving to South West Red zone lol. Lots of armageddon news this morning but that just makes the journey even more exciting. Does anyone else get excited by extreme weather ? Don't get me wrong, I still make sure I'm prepared for every eventuality, food and drinks in car, along with pillow and blanket incase I'm stuck on M4/M5 but its all part of the adventure 😀 Stay safe everyone, secure those wheelie bins 😂
  14. Cheers mate, I've already spent a few hundred getting started so I think I'll go for those arrowmax first , and save the MIP tools for special occasion requests 👍🏻
  15. Good job I asked, thank you.
  16. Please forgive me for this basic thread, I have tried finding the answer myself. I recently had to replace 2 parts on my car and using the tiny allen key tool was tedious! It looks like 90% of my screws are M3** (pic attached), is the M3 the Hex size (3mm?)? When looking for a Hex driver am I correct in assuming I need a 3mm? or is it an unusual imperial measurement? Finally, please can someone recommend a small pack of Hex drivers which fit the M3 screws, happy to pay up to £25. These look suitable to me : https://www.cmldistribution.co.uk/product/FAST615/fastrax-team-tool-metric-screwdriver-set-6-pieces Thank you, Antony
  17. Thanks for that mate appreciate it 👍
  18. In the electric Carnage thread (back in 2012) luke662 talks about boiling plastic parts to make them more flexible. Would it be worth boiling the new front bumper before attaching? Surely this part would benefit from more flex? Thanks 🙂
  19. Are you still active mate? I've got a question about boiling plastic parts to make them more flexible.

another thing, you need to make sure you stir them otherwise they will stick to the bottom and the shape of the plastic may change or melt due to touching the bottom of the pan.

lol yeah that seems like an important point, I will do thanks 🙂

  20. Had my first little bump today. Car park was as slippery as ice, lost control and it hit a wall lol. Slippery surface along with constantly countersteering was a recipe for disaster. It was like a scene out of Tokyo Drift in the multi story, only I was not the drift king 🤣 Only £11 worth of damage, all on order. On a plus side I got to dismantle the front end and got to know the car little better. Tuning phase on hold until I fix the pull to the right. Tools on order 👍🏻 Pic: middle bits are broken bits.
  21. That's a very good idea about the foam, I will definitely give it a go. The priority at the moment is getting the pull to the right sorted. I have ordered a tool to adjust the turnbuckle arms so I'll work on that next week. Then I'll crack on with the 50% throttle runs. I did have a couple of 1 second blips at 100% ... wow, so addictive! Lol
  22. Rgr will do, thank you 👍🏻
  23. Evening Everyone, So, I left the igniter on charge over night, the house didn't burn down 🙏😆 Took the car out today for the break in phase, and after following all the advice from the forum / YouTube videos the car fired up a dream, not what I was expecting at all. After letting it idle for a tank I started the figure of eights at the slowest speed my finger could do lol. This car is so difficult to drive slowly, I need the finger dexterity of a brain surgeon 😂 I'll run a few more tanks through tomorrow, increasing the speed every time keeping temps above 200F and below 250F. I do have 1 issue.... Even under 1/4 throttle the car is driving around in circles (clockwise). The wheels seem incredibly unstable? I've read a few posts today so i'm going to have a play with those turnbuckle rods to try and fix the self turning issue.... Does anyone have any thoughts on what I should look at first? What's making it pull right as very slow speeds? Really looking forward to using maximum throttle and tuning the engine, just hope I can fix the wobble wheels and circle turning! 🤞
  24. Cheers mate ill do that 👍🏻
  25. Great thanks mate, I'll order now so I get them tomorrow 👍🏻
