  6. Cheers Rich, yes on a tripod and a remote trip, my arms arn't that steady!
  7. The Velbon one must be 20 years old as its the same one as mine, Its been a good tripod but not good with a long lense on.
  8. There are some fantastic images on here, they are a great source of inspiration to total photographic numpties like me:blush: Came in tonight and thought the moon looked moody, very low and big. Grabbed the camera and fired off a few dozen pics, this one seemed the best so i cropped it a bit:- (captured using Canon EOS 550D, f/5.6 1/20 exposure iso 200 using 300m f5.6 lense) Comments are welcome but please don't be too brutal as its my first post in here!
  9. You can download a free trial of solidworks that lasts for 5 months if you are a student or still at school, failing that you can download autodesk inventor (does the same) for a 30 day trial.
  10. It would need some pretty high gearing with a max engine speed of 102rpm. I wonder if my starter box will need upgrading:whistling:
  11. It is possible to turbocharge a 2 stroke diesel engine, this ones a bit big for your average baja though:ph34r: Interesting engine if you like big numbers!

  15. As above, my son is pestering me for one of these for Christmas after seeing one one the evil that is Youtube! He wants to use it outdoors on calm days in a local field, has anybody got one or have any experience of them at all? I would rather he got the rtf version for now as i don't want to spend anothe
  16. Looks like i am going to have to work tomorrow, i wil stick the cars in the boot and call in on my way home if i can get finished at a reasonable time:( If i don't make it i hope you all have a good bash and don't break too much. Cheers
  17. Fair Comment Rich, i have had problems years ago with the SLRs and cheap filters but took a punt on this one as i was ordering other stuff and as yet cant fault it, even took some test shots with a Hoya, Jessops & this one & unless its my tired eyes i can't tell any difference. Perhaps i have been lucky and the poor optical quality has just been masked by my poor photography in general! I will post some pics up later this week if i get chance, took a few moon shots last week and managed to get some half decent exposures. I suppose you pays your money & takes your pic:ph34r:
  18. Carl We have a few filters from our SLR days but i bought one of these last week: -http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140432171218, Can't really grumble for that price. I have put it at the side of my Hoya filter and can't really see much difference (not at my level of photography anyway). They do all of the useual thread sizes. I have bought a few bits from them like remote controls and lenses in the last few weeks and delivery has been spot on. Worth a look anyway and cheaper than jessops in Wakey! Cheers
  19. Put me and my lad down as possibles Will, i might nip over with a savage and the slayer (both on Speccy) Depends on weather and time but i might get chance to have 1/2 hour:good: cheers

Best of luck to all involved though:good:
  21. So thats me confused as well now then? I charge mine via the balance lead plugged into a prolux lipo charge balancer which then plugs into the banana plug charge ouput from my pro-peak prodigy II charger. Am i doing this right?
  22. Thanks for the offer mate but i think it will be out of the price range that i was looking at
