  1. Just give it a quick spin with the EZ starter, spur and silver plate spin, gearbox issue or does it need more revs? Can't get my head round the spur and pinion both free spinning by hand in either direction, I would have thought the pinion must be secured to the motor and turning the pinion would move the piston?
  2. So looking at it from the front as per the photo, the spur gear spins freely anti clockwise, spinning clockwise it is stiff, top part of clutch nearest to the spur gear moves with the spur. Scratch that, having took a few photos spinning the spur by hand to get it right in my head, the spur spins freely in both directions now, there is no longer any resistance clockwise. I can see the pinion turning as well, should the engine not stop the pinion free spinning? Lose grub screw on the pinion?
  3. Hi, I'm after some advice please. Bought a T-Maxx 3.3 a couple of years ago, from the very first tank the car crept forward with the throttle in neutral. I thought no big deal, throttle needs trimming or linkage on servo rod needs adjustment, planned to sort once run in, I'll get back to this. Put 3 tanks through it as per the run in procedure, called it a day, followed post run engine procedure etc. Next time out, put 2 tanks through it as per the run in procedure, no problems, filled tank for the 6th run, engine responding to the throttle but car not moving, now I say not moving, it was still creeping forward with the throttle at neutral as mentioned earlier. Much head scratching accompanied with plenty of swearing later, called it a day, emptied tank and followed post right engine procedure. Mothballed the car, it's sat in the spare room since, thinking this RC car lark isn't for me, only to come back to it last year with some lower end electric cars and loving it. Nitro isn't my thing so I'm going to sell the T-Maxx to fund a higher end electric car, but would like to resolve the issue before I sell it. Having trawled numerous threads, does this sound like a slipper clutch issue? Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
  4. Valuation - What price should I list my T-Maxx 3.3 RTR at (5 tanks through it)?

Needs a tweak, after the 5th tank the engine runs fine but the car ain't moving? Slipper clutch? Mothballed it at this point, nitro not my thing.

I've done just that mate, stuck a long winded thread in the Nitro section 👍

  5. I'm keen to see how you find it, the GS02f is battling against the R1 for my next purchase.
  6. It feels like I have more spares on back order than I do in the spares box.

What I have learned is MS ship the in-stock items where as Wheelspin hold them back so that will be a deciding factor going forward.

Just had a few bits through from AliEx for my 1/18 rigs, about 2 weeks from order, can't complain.

  7. Looking forward to seeing the course when it's finished, obviously going for a high standard.
  8. I would say that the GS02F ticks all your boxes mate.
  9. I know, I bought the rolling chassis for spares. 😁
  10. No mate the ARTR they sell only comes brushless, but at £90 it comes in less than the brushed Vantage. If anyone had their heart set on fitting a specific combo from the off, they do a rolling chassis for £60 which would be the cheapest route. I'm no expert but it ran well yesterday so I'm not planning on doing anything to it (I do have sway bars on back order).
  11. Got it from Hobbyking, I know what you're saying about local and UK based shops and if it was only a couple of pound I wouldn't use HK. But I'm not alone on here, lots buying from China and the US, ultimately I need to look after my finances first. It's exactly the same car so yes, just as fragile but fortunately no breakages today.
  12. Just had my brushless Quanum Vandal out for it's maiden run, got to say for £120 all in, its possibly the best value for money RC I've bought. I wonder why more people don't buy the Vandal over the Vantage, seems a no brainer?
  13. I don't fancy a load of 17 year old lads round the house so trying on here first, selling to make space and at bargain MSUK prices. Kymco Agility, Blue (only came in blue), 15 plate, not Chinese tat (Taiwanese). As new, my daughter never took to it so it's just sat in the garage since she passed her car test soon after purchase. 782 kilometers (489 miles) on the clock, twist and go 4 stroke. Asking £no longer for sale, no mot due to effectively being stored since purchased. For more pics just google as these are as new, never dropped or seen rain. Collection only.
  14. Need to see more of the R1 mate, toying with getting one myself. Where did you get it from?
  15. I'm pleased you said it was a shell as it looks like an empty bag in the pic. 😂
  16. I got the drift version a couple of months ago, I rate it highly. As for the cost, yes it's a decent chunk of change for the size, but if you compare it to the costs of say just a clear body shell, which must cost pennies to make it's quite reasonable. As I tell the wife it's not all about size. 😁
