Well.. The site looks like is being built at 56K speed as well.

      Quite slow.

Webserver running on a server with an i486 CPU?

      Hmmm.

Am I the only one without any problems after the jab???

Got mine a week ago and no effects.

Wife and daddy were also fine.

  3. Why do people have to use red threadlocker at places where it is impossible to take the screw out???? Now I have to dismantle the whole rear, cut out the axle cup, just because the previous owner had to use red instead of blue. This just makes me furious. Spent all evening to find a way to get it out.

I could. But it would mean taking apart even the inner diff gears will all the oil change etc. I think it is even more work.

No worries. I will not give up. After all it's a £400 Rustler. Worst case I will go after the screw with a Dremel.

Well. Bad news. It all failed. At the end I even kept the iron on, burning some part of the diff and my fingertip. Arghh. Painful!

I think it might be possible that the whole pin is bent and therefore will not come out.

Interestingly, the driveshaft cup itself is loose. Just the pin is stuck.

Last night I already ordered some micro screw extractors and a 1.5mm left handed drill bit.

Will come tomorrow and then I will get that screw out with force.

Gas powered irons blow hot air onto the tip. But that hot air needs a vent as well. That vented hot air is now my problem in that small space. But I will give it a try now and then see. Will wrap wet kitchen paper around the diff housing.

Lucky, it's not rounded yet. I was careful enough.

I will try the iron. Not sure how, because I have a gas powered one. I am afraid the hot air will melt the diff housing. Maybe some wet kitchen paper can protect the housing.

I going to order some screw extractors and left hand drill bits. My only hope for now. It's just that the bashing weekend will be gone. Arghh.

The diff casing right next to it (left in the pic) is made of plastic. Will probably melt in an instant.

  12. Amps question: so brushless car, is it right that on 2s lipo it will draw more amps than on 3s lipo in a given  same setup?

    1. Jens

      Jens

Doesn't higher Voltage alone already increase the Watts? The Formula "Watt = Volts x Ampere" clearly still holds. Just double checked that. So when the Volts increase, the Watts will increase with the same Amps.

I just hope that this VAT charged at POS will go away (up to £135). Lot's of outside sources became unavailable because of that, limiting me to online market places (Amazon, ebay, Ali). For many sellers it is not viable to maintain a VAT account here.

From what I remember 40 years ago in physics at school. But correct me, if I am wrong. A motor doesn't draw any amps. Its consumption is measured in watts. Then together with its voltage supply the amps are calculated. Watts = VA. --> Watts = Volts x Amps. Then I would say a motor takes what it can get up to its max wattage limit, limited only by the ESC. (Cracking my brain now)...  Sorry, I give up. It's too long ago...

:good: for telling the story and for the way you mastered life. Not many can say that about them self.

Having kids is something nice. My Mrs and I were never supposed to have them.

And it's not about who will receive your house/company/investments.

It's all about what you yourself can give and one day leave behind as your legacy.

( And someone you can go bashing with anytime/anywhere ).

Eventually the delivery was declared as delivered by midnight. Driver location was at that time in London. Lucky I took screenshots at regular intervals. Just talked to Amazon. From between the lines of the conversation it looks like the driver had issues before. You might be right, upset with his boss. For me: Refund and reorder.

  20. Trying to glue rubber tires on alloy rims. Tire glue doesn't work well. Any ideas?

    1. Jens

      Jens

I sanded the rims yesterday and tried one more last time with tire glue.

Silicone has already arrived and will be used if that doesn't work.

  21. Trying to glue rubber tires on alloy rims. Tire glue doesn't work well. Any ideas?

    1. Jens

      Jens

I would. After all I buy the rims to put tires on. :-).

I have the feeling it is because the rims are blue anodized.

Basically I would need a glue that is able to react with alloy and create a bond.

Tire glue (aka superglue) surely does not react.

Threadlocker might, but then not with rubber.

I will try the silicone idea but sand the rims before.

Seasons in the Abyss is good. Albums Hell Awaits followed by Reign in Blood, in that order, is my path to relaxation. DNB is not for me. I am very narrow minded into metal...🤘
