  1. I'm hoping some of you can help I've just got myself a Atom superstox K164 and very new to this I've been advised to buy the following Front 40sh 42mm Rear 37sh 44mm But I cannot find these size tyres. Apparently you have to true them yourself. Funnily enough buying a truing machine is outta my budget. Is there a company that do this for you or can you but them trued and resized? Thanks
  2. Hiya. I have my 1st race tonight. I am absolutely petrified, I know no one and have no idea what I am doing lol How was your 1st race? Any tips?
  3. Sooooo close. Got everything crossed also
  4. Thanks everybody. I'll check them all out
  5. Hey everyone So I've been doing ALOT of testing with sticks and wheels. For me sticks win, I am alot more controlled and faster. I've saved up and bought a nice new one but want to protect it. It'll be taken to clubs around the UK so nothing to go on a plane. Any recommendations on whay people use to protect them? Thanks
  6. Merry Christmas to everybody Thanks for being a great place to chat RC
  7. I'm surprised how long AAA batteries (Duracell) last. I bought some mats today, to try it out on. Over Christmas I'll put it in another room and make the track bigger
  8. Thanks@turok007 I am certainly finding it difficult to find anything in the UK. Someone suggested Banggood but I have never shopped on that site and it just looks dodgey.
  9. Evening all I just bought a Kyosho Mini-Z RWD Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 It's my 1st 1/28. I absolutely love it. But are there any mods or upgrades I could do. I'm only racing at home at the moment but love to upgrade them. Also where can you buy treaded tyres for them in the UK? Do you buy the tyre and to the separate and glue them? Thanks
  10. Hiya I have just been searching the web for 1:28 scale cars and found your post. I know it's a year later but where did you manage to get a car that cheaply and all the gear for £160 I currently run 1:10 & 1:22 but seriously looking to get in to 1:28 Thanks
  11. So took it too work with me today and blasted it with compressed air lines. Its now alot cleaner but theres still some in between the red coils inside. I hope it'll be ok. I haven't used any cleaner as wasn't sure about the bearings you meantioned
  12. I bought a 2nd hand motor and now i have it I need to clean it. It's coated in so much carpet dust Can anyone recommend how? It's disgusting!!
  13. Thanks everyone. I've gone for the safe side and bought 12awg.

  15. So I have just bought myself my 2nd kit but now a better one. I have a Trinity Revtech 24K 13.5T Motor (gold) But I have no idea about what gauge wire i should be using for my kit. I can't find any info about this motor. Is there a general rule?
  16. Awesome. I'm looking to get the 17.5t motor as I'm v v new to this and rather start slower I think than a motor that fast.
  17. Sorry@hardc0re_tid for resurrecting this post. I'm currently looking at buying a 2nd one. What set up did you buy in the end? I'm a bit lost and a complete noob. Thanks Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  18. These are the 2 cheap things I've been using so I'm not surprised that the stick is a bit sticky. I'd prefer to get a better model then try and repair this. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  19. So I've been swapping and changing between my stick and wheel, I know I'm likely to be in a minority here but the sticks feel much more natural to me, but it may be because I've played a lot of racing games on my xbox and that's why comes naturally. The cheap one I have, the accelerator stick gets stuck in the up position which is not great. Plus the thumb sticks feel too long and cheap Can anyone suggest a good one? Or is it a case that I will just need to practice ALOT with the wheel? Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  20. So dug out charger manual. The manual says exactly what you said, it comes with croc clips, except it doesnt. It comes with a 12v cigarette lighter attachment. Which is great but I can't use that lol. I'll see if i can find a different charger that will charge my batts and has croc clips
  21. Oh like spade connectors from the mains charger to the leisure batt?
  22. Ok so how do I then connect my mains charger to this? Sorry for stupid questions. I'm guessing thats how it works, Leisure batt to mains charger to batt pack
  23. So I'm taking my Ebuggy out and about at the weekend. I am currently only using NiMh batteries until i gain confidence and knowledge about the LiPo ones. Anyway I read somewhere that i should take a 12v leisure battery with me to charge my batteries. When i google these, all i see are car batteries. What do i need to buy? Thanks again Your resident noob
