  1. before starting to wrench I thought I run the truck stock - just to see that everything is working correctly - installed the link module, app etc and took it out for a quick session ... seemed ok to me but I did a few jumps off a lawn ramp and on one landing the body popped off - obvious question, I have seen this before on youtube a few times but I wonder if someone had a cure for this? upgrades I initially plan to do as parts are here already - 2085X servo - Max6 - 1600XL - dual fan - 18T pinion/50 spur - Spektrum receiver - Shock socks - Proline Brute Armor body - Threaded hinge pins unavailable at the moment but considered: - RPM Oversized Rear Axle Carriers anything else I should consider?
  2. minor differences to other countries within the UK yes England should be fine - I think the forum covers more than the UK
  3. thats also my understanding now it should really be fine if you adhere to social distancing - prepping out my Xmaxx hopefully ready be the end of the week if all upgrades get here in time - fingers crossed ...
  4. thanks folks for your interest but after running all trucks yesterday - and actually enjoying every single one of them - I have decided to keep them and to keep fighting the powers there be ... also added the Xmaxx to the garage so there should be enough options to play
  5. Original (I believe it was late 80s 88/89??) Lunchbox back in the days ... (all driven over this weekend btw) Losi Ten Rally X Vaterra Kemora Arrma Kraton 8S Arrma Granite 3S BLX Team Associated MT28 Arrma Notorious 6S Arrma Mojave 6S Tamiya Lunchbox Mini Team Associated Reflex 14b Traxxas Latrax Traxxas Xmaxx so not that many really ...
  6. I got the same one (was on offer at screwfix) - I use all purpose cleaner from lidl (69p) to start with (30(cleaner)/70(water)mix), then hose the model down, use the compressor to get it dry - still use WD40 or GT85 to displace water and then lubricate the next day ..
  7. I got the same one (was on offer at screwfix) - I use all purpose cleaner from lidl to start with, then hose the model down, use the compressor to get it dry - still use WD40 or GT85 to displace water and then lubricate the next day ..
  8. hm I found 3 already - Modelsport and Wheelspin ... didnt even look further but I think there are more available in the UK
  9. you probably misunderstood what I meant to say - the v1 batch wasn't sold out to my knowledge and the v1.5 apparently aren't in Europe yet - so either they meanwhile have arrived and thats why there is stock but all other models seem to have left even their warehouse
  10. even Horizon only has the Kraton8S in stock assumption the 2nd batch shipment of the v1.5
  11. I order often from them - I could make good use with one of those vouchers but most of the time when I wanted a truck they did not have any stock while others did ... only issue with them has been stock so far; trucks or parts ...
  12. Well ... full disclosure: got another email stating it being a personal error in handling, they will honour their obligations and already requested to send the faulty ESC to their own service - Germany, though the website stating they currently dont accept returns or repairs via postal services - but apparently they will accept it if I mail it in - this came after the last email ... Odd ... but got an apology and seems to be a broken process or people just not reading what you send to them as I clearly stated it in my first email to them opening the case including the HH order number ...
  13. well LogicRC said - they do service, warranty for everything they bring into the country (as a distributor) but he said I bought it direct, the contract is between them HH and I and they dont do any other service, warranty claims - however he offered to help liaise with them - maybe LogicRC aren't as bad when dealing with LogicRC directly but you still got the LHS in the middle ... funny enough I sent an email to the ticket stating that I spoke to LogicRC(named the person I spoke to) and gave them the outcome and their response still is: so I sent an email to the German team to see what comes back from them ...
  14. As I still have the ESC to sort out I just called LogicRC and they said - sorry mate, not our responsibility your contract is with them ... exactly how I see it ... seem like the left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing ...
  15. updated the original post - broken down spares by truck and added estimates for parts only - prices taken from MS or receipts from my inbox as there seems to be enough interest thread/PMs in split options and I may sell everything off that way - first come first serve. please keep in mind that I will only split on a truck including spares basis so everything per truck will have to sell in one go - otherwise its too much hassle same applies preferably for the Spektrum electronics/lipo package (perfect fit for the K8S) I will keep this up as is but will decide by Monday on offers considered for split options.
  16. I believe the exclusive distributor in the UK is LogicRC while HorizonHobby is the owner of Arrma and others and also operating a webstore from Germany, goods are shipped from Hamburg
  17. pushes the door open, hook to the opener done ... I was shocked
  18. feel sorry for you but the missus locked her electronic key in her car where the battery had run flat the other day and we called a car locksmith - he opened the door literally for £50 in 35seconds ...
  19. that one line? no - I purchased directly from HorizonHobby.co.uk or in fact Horizon Hobby GmbH as per my purchase order, bill etc for the goods I tried to get direct support for - and they are trying to refer me to a distributor
  20. gotcha ... those whispers are all over all the arrma related websites, forums and socials ... so not that much of a whisper but more propaganda ... which actually seems to be be true if you are in the US - just to let you know - complaints are only seen from people outside of the US ... going in hard? probably £5k - less than my computers at home, or most excluding the macbook and the macbook air to be precise - its not the money mate, its how I feel being treated / misinformed from their own websites/T&Cs/GTCs etc - I just ordered a Xmaxx combo and some upgrades for ~£2.5k so thats not it at all
  21. Chinese whispers? https://www.arrma-rc.com/pdf/manuals/ARB10438.pdf this is included in my box "LIMITED WARRANTY What this Warranty Covers Horizon Hobby, LLC, (Horizon) warrants to the original purchaser that the product purchased (the “Product”) will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase" "WARRANTY SERVICES Questions, Assistance, and Services Your local hobby store and/or place of purchase cannot provide warranty support or service. Once assembly, setup or use of the Product has been started, you must contact your local distributor or Horizon directly. This will enable Horizon to better answer your questions and service you in the event that you may need any assistance. For questions or assistance, please visit our website at www. horizonhobby.com, submit a Product Support Inquiry, or call the toll free telephone number referenced in the Warranty and Service Contact Information section to speak with a Product Support representative." https://www.arrma-rc.com/support/warranty I tend to educate myself in advance before I make a purchase https://www.horizonhobby.co.uk/en/content/gtc Contracting Party Horizon Hobby GmbH - not some distributor in another country if I like what I see and read I buy it ... simples - trust if assumed not earned
  22. I prefer the simple black/white scheme - now hurry up, get them done and finally take my money
