    Finished it, or more specifically, finished wiring up the lights. Its an Orlandoo Hunter 1/32 Defender kit.     I shall use a bit of thread lock from now on too. Never really been a problem before, but oddly it’s happened to 3 different wheels this week alone.

    Thanks. Now the paint has fully dried it’s a bit more muted. Wiring the lights is proving to be a real test of patience but I’ve been so absorbed in the process I forgot to take any pics. All the soldering is done but mounting the LEDs correctly is REALLY trying my patience. I’ll be really glad when it’s done, if it all works it’ll be awesome.

    It’s called Musbury heights quarry. A favourite spot of mine. Bit of a climb up a hill to get to it but I let Cowboy Bob drive up rather than carry him there.

    I am. For what they are, I’d say they are a bit over priced BUT, 1, they fit pretty well, 2, they do actually keep the worst of the dirt out, 3, they also (I think) add to the scale look of the car. So all in all, I’m very pleased with mine.

    I had my Stout over two years now and I love it. Mind you, it’s the only crawler I’ve ever owned so don’t know how it compares. Suspect it might be a tad lower spec than your other rigs but for the money, a good choice I reckon. 👍

    Should I add some “mud” splatters behind the wheel arches? I never know when to stop with patina, and have a tendency to overdo it. Hmmmm🤔

    Instead of taking the plunge and soldering up the lighting kit I engaged in a deferral activity. I did a bit of weathering to add some character….
