  1. I was having troubles with my old spektrum dx4s with glitching. I got the impression as good as they are, the Internet searches say that they weren't all that good with petrol RC. Which is strange that they are supplied with spektrum gear. I swapped out eventually to a flysky noble. That said though I never had problems using a Switchblade killswitch on the dx4s. So I couldn't see why a killswitch would give any problems if used with the spektrum 6ch recievers
  2. After reading this thread it made me think about my stuff. I used to shoot at the local club years ago until it was shut down. I only ever shot air/co2 pistols there despite owning an air rifle. They are not as nice as some of the guns in the thread but I like the realistic look. First one is the Walther cp99 Airsoft Beretta Walther MPL Full auto Indoor range nowadays for me An old blank fire replica
  3. Went to see ZZ Top back in the early 80s on the Eliminator tour. Had a great time listening to their music through the years. RIP dude.
  4. Looks a mess but still doing its job thankfully 👌
  5. Losi...3 concrete edging stone...0 Took the losi 5t out tonight and whilst hooning it around I saw it jolt a couple of times. Seems weird as I didn't see anything. The 3rd time I was closer when it jolted again so I went over and never expected to see this. The concrete edgings stones around the path were shattered from hitting them with the front skid plate.
  6. My petrol truck is way louder than my nitro ever can be and it has a silencer.

Could be a duff throttle servo? Easy way to find out is plug the throttle servo into the steering port on the reciever. If that doesn't work you know its a duff servo.
  8. That was impressive. I was standing behind it whilst they were bringing the engines upto speed, I could feel the thrust from behind the railings and the smell from the fuel wow. Even better than 2 stroke imo 😉
  9. Just a few pics of the 2019 show.
  10. I have been to quite a few over the years. We take the motorhome and stay from Friday to Monday to avoid any traffic queues. Lots to see and do and plenty of stuff to buy new and second hand with a dedicated area for people to take their unwanted rc stuff to sell.
  11. I'm not sure if the OP ever got it going again. Certainly not seen any posting to say anything has worked. But I know from experience the last couple of times I have had a complete no start every time it has been a head gasket that has blown, a common problem on a 2 bolt cylinder head.
  12. There is also a small chance it could still have the original Spektrum DX3.
  13. I think there is a slight difference but only down to hole centres, I want to say around the engine. An unmodded one should have a 26cc CY motor a small boxy exhaust, blue shocks with blue springs. Losi on the battery box and losi servos on throttle and brake. A round 2 stage pancake air filter with losi wrote on that as well. Even if it does have say 30° North parts on doesn't mean its not a losi. I have some 30°N parts on mine as they are a lot cheaper.
  14. Bit of a tough question as parts are so similar. The older they are the harder it will be as owners will opt for the cheaper 30° North parts. Obvious ones are Losi truck body, look for "losi" wrote on top of the shock caps, the battery box has "LOSI" wrote across the top of the cover. Losi servos. Early ones had a 26cc CY motor later ones I think are 29cc Dynamite? Upto a 32cc Zenoah. What is it been sold as, a v1, v1.5 or a 2.0? If you can find out, maybe do a Google search for photos and look for the correct style wheels and tyres, body, engine exhaust combo etc. Maybe check the length and width of the truck against known dimensions. 😉
  15. Took delivery of a crimp set for making up or modifying servo/battery leads.

Make sure the RX aerial is fully extended and not wrapped up in the RX box. We need to eliminate the easy stuff first.
  17. During routine maintenance on the 5ive T at the weekend I found a couple of slight problems so a quick scan on RCMZ and exchange of some of my hard earned these came in the post this morning.
  18. There maybe a cheaper option. I'm not 100% certain it would work. There is the brown out lead that is available that might be worth a try? Switchblade brown out lead
  19. I originally had the losi 3000mah 6v nihm battery. After about 5 to 10 minutes of run time it always cutout. Took me ages to figure it out, eventually tried a lipo (I do have high voltage digital servos BTW ) battery which worked wonders. Turned out the nihm battery couldn't supply enough power so the LVC of the Switchblade would cut the engine. I'm running a 5t with hitec D845WP on steering with a Switchblade.
  20. What type of battery and mah battery is it? As for Rcmodelz I can say they are a very good shop and very reliable.
  21. Have you checked the condition of the battery, as it could be a voltage drop issue caused by a high drain of the steering servo affecting the LVC of the Switchblade.
  22. Oh just thought about your loose screws. Try wrap some ptfe tape around each screw but be careful not to go too far down it as it could block the jets.
  23. Usually excessive revs like that can be a sign of an overly lean mix on the LSN.
