  1. Brilliant, I knew someone would know, any idea of the correct setting/pressure point? Thanks a million
  2. Hi All I'm learning as I go here and many thanks to everyone who has helped me so far. While I'm hunting for an engine for my 3.3, I'm still trying to sort this old. 15. Engine siezed - sorted Carb siezed - sorted Servos siezed - sorted Gearbox - siezed, freed, stripped, rebuilt, all seems to be working OK but when changing it doesn't always work. I'm guessing it's not changing due to engine speed but if I set it any lower it cuts out. I'm happy to keep reverse and not go FOC, but it needs to work. Is there any adjust in the box? Thanks again
  3. Ah sure all part of the game. Couple of weeks now and still not a run out of it.
  4. Or crank bearings, spins no problem and the the odd time it just locks or drags. Naturally new piston is trashed
  5. Found my problem - bent crankshaft 😭
  6. Hello again Have my 3.3 rebuilt and started, initially had wired for starter wrong way but somehow it started (eventually) lost of free spinning but the OWB must have caught and she started right up. Ran great for the first tank of break in. Now the starter spins the engine everytime but she just won't fire, seems to turn slowly too. Even after only 7-8 seconds the starter starts to smoke! I just got another project T-Maxx, a. 15. EVERYTHING was siezed, engine, carb and even servos. All have freed up lovely and this spins much faster on the same easy start. That's not running yet either (probably junked up carb), no doubt I'll need help with her too 😂😂😂 Just got into nitro to break the monotony of lockdown for meself and the kids. Thanks
  7. Great idea, I’ll try that tomorrow Thanks a mil
  8. And the saga continues 😂 Started today and tried to tune but its either trying to run or screaming at full speed even with carb fully closed, have to pull the fuel to stop the engine. Needles are loose too so I'm assuming the o-rings are shot. Anyone any idea of specs or sizes? Many thanks for the incredible help so far!
  9. No sign of anything inside, previous owner must have had a go and up for sale. I bought it as a project so happy enough, super easy to work on. Thanks again everyone
  10. Looks like I found the culprit 😂
  11. Thanks for all the help guys, cleaned down, lubed with after run oil and all seems to be working ok. Pull cord seems to be recoiling quickly enough. I’ll refit tomorrow and see can we breath life into the old dog
  12. Yeah looks like cylinder wall is scored. it slides up about halfway gets tight towards top and then free again at top. I think it must have overheated at some stage and out of shape.
  13. Wow great news, I'll try that. Sleeve looks ok but the indentations on the opposite sides looks as if it hit something. Should the top of the piston be totally flush? Its also feels rough at stages when turning by hand even with starter removed. Thanks again guys
