  1. I saw quite a few TY videos of the 6S Corally's and the XTR and they made it look like a pile of poo. Personally I think many of these videos were ridiculous and purely out for views, not to test the truck in a helpful way. But by all accounts hardly anyone bought them, hence the widespread discounting. Unfortunately what some of these more dubious YT channels say does matter to many RC buyers. Hoping for some fair reasonable reviews, of this very promising TC 4s truck.
  2. Will all that CNC bling goodness make it as tough or even tougher than the Arrma 3s/4s range? Personally I think its because they were so lightweight, and 98% (decent) plastic that those Arrma's can take an absolute kicking, IMO they are toughest Arrmas of all. If it gets some stinking reviews like previous Corally cars, I don't expect it'll be 410 quid for long.
  3. It looks interesting enough, good release. But I wouldn't pay 450 for it. Especially when the previous TC ranges are all now heavily discounted, having seemingly failed (rightly or wrongly) to get many sales... Also be nice to see something different from TC. Not just cars that mimic another brands far too closely.
  4. The Arrma forum guys are saying you can't remove the little space alien dolls (withouot brute force), and can remove the ray guns πŸ˜… Also that whole batmobile cage body costs >$200 to replace 🀫
  5. I've always wondered if their is some unwritten RC rule, that when it comes to a desert buggies, be it this one, Mojave, UDR, DR8 all those Losi cars, they have to stick little action men dolls in them. They'd never dare put one it in a Kraton/Oucast! πŸ™ƒ
  6. Looks quite fun in the YT videos from RcDude & RichDuperbash. That'll be the last time we see them stock though, they'll have $100's of MC2 racing bling on them the next time.
  7. Almost scared to even think about the price 😁 And a big chunk of that will be for those Spektrum electrics that not many people rate at all.
  8. Its a shame. Not great for the hobby in general either. Like others I ordered anything from them for couple of years, not from choice, but because they literally never had anythging I wanted to buy.... πŸ˜‘ Spent a lot with them in the past.
  9. Yeah and if they'd "tried" they might've managed to make an upgrade part that wasn't worse then useless πŸ˜†
  10. I've always fancied the 7075 chassis but can't justify it as I've never managed to bend the stock. Depends on what your doing with it. Bent the shock towers sure, bad enough landing will do that, but managed to bend them back so...left them stock☺️
  11. Horizon Hobby seems to be offloading the Kraton EXB really cheaply in the USA just now $350ish, no such luck here, in fact its went up a tenner from since I las looked on Modelsport.
  12. You anent going to get a better truck for close to that price. Granite is crazy tough, maybe even tougher than the mt10 sometimes but they have stupid price tags on them now unfortunately.
  13. Tells you something, when 450 quid seems like a reasonable price (which it does!) for a 1/8 RTR! Looks really interesting, if it happens to be Kaiju based great, we cant get it in the UK. Hopefully its reasonably durable, If so it could make the Notorious at 589 or 689 for that exb junk, redundant πŸ˜„
  14. The VS pro has lots of bling upgrades. They may be of use to you depending what your doing with it. For me carbon on the a-arms, skid plates & other bling are a complete waste of money. Some of the upgrades like cnc hinge pins Ive found to be essential though. I'd get the non-pro version & upgrade when & even if needed. Is the 8sc really coming to the UK? Never has before, and the sites keep claiming its "coming soon", but I suspect it's a site ordering error than a sign it's ever arriving, hope I'm wrong though, I'd love one!
  15. The prices & junk electrics means Arrma's are for the fanboys only, really. Seems to be plenty of them around though....😐
  16. Same deal with the Bangood chineese servos, they work Okish, but the claimed specs are ridiculously execrated. So sure try that latest 35KG waterproof servo, but bank on it not being waterproof & 15KG on a good day. The surpass hobby motors on the other hand I've found to perform OK. Can't comment on reliability not used them long enough, but I'm guessing it's quite difficult to make a really crap brushless motor...
  17. Been just the one common denominator in all the RC spats past couple of years - Talbot. He's forever claiming to be 100% innocents honest, full of integrity, but that's not the image that's emerging at all. He managed to pick full scale wars with Vas from AussieRC, and Tomley RC, neither of these guys could ever be described as aggressive, or having any other real agenda other than enjoying this hobby.... The RC sparks cretin is different though, he has huge following and fanboy base, and he could do some real damage to KT's income stream. Looks like Kev's bit off more than he could chew with this unpleasant pothead πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚Glad to see the back of all three of them, KT, Pat, "Medic", the hobby would be better place without them.
  18. Outcast 4s & 6s is discontinued, but the Notorious 6s (sane as Outcast bar the shell) is alive and well and getting more expensive by the day....
  19. Both really weak cars, parts are cheap yes, but with postage and the frequency you break parts means they aren't as cheap to run as they can appear. Arrma Granite 3S is easily 100x more durable, parts are cheapish , faster, no comparison really but it is Β£309 now, it's getting expensive... JLB Cheetah RTR is roughly same price as Ftx Carnage from Bangood. Cheap parts (from China though), not as durable as the Arrma, but I'd take it over either FTX any day.
  20. All the yters freebie's undoubtedly come with "conditions", I get the strong impression Vas's relationship with Arrma has ended, and now he can finally let us know he deliberately hid the bent chassis, while casually portraying himself as the only unbiased yt ever. He even bought an xmaxx recently πŸ€” I notice Thomas Peterson long time Arrma fanatic has jumped ship completely, and now routinely has digs at Arrma's designs. Another big Arrma freebie benefactor Rich Duperbash, makes some amazing RC videos for sure, but he i now runs 100% exclusively Armma, he wasn't in the past he ran Tekno, Proline amongst others, so yeah takes these free cars Rich, but don't even think about filming any other brand πŸ˜†
  21. You may be better off selling the parts, if you can be bothered with the hassle that involves. After all HK don't have many ever, and they have shifted presumably 1000s of these things...and they break easy ?
