  1. Can't wait to hear what it's like out and about mate👍
  2. Looks a perfectly good job mate [emoji106] Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  3. I have Axial beads on mine. You just need a hub extender to bring it away from the axle, like these; https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/383665318580 Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  4. If you can wait for shipping and stomach the cost a MIP shaft would best mate [emoji106] The plastic may be ok for a short time, perhaps loosen off the slipper a tad? Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  5. They're great, loved mine, go brushless though, it can handle quite a lot of power👍
  6. Jeep body for my son, only it's supposed to be 313mm as advertised so I'm haggling for a good discount or send it back. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  7. Ouch! I've used a very high grit sandpaper on the shafts before, like 1000+ to make sure they're smooth as possible but what do you mean by tarnished though - discolouration or scratched?
  8. I use marine grease in my axles and have salvaged after an impromptu run in salt water just about; a soak in wd40 overnight to remove the remaining mess after a wipe down with alcohol has saved me some ££ in the past. No saving bearings though.
  9. Strange isn't it mate; i'm the same; shocks and transmission, mmmmm
  10. Amazing location buddy, and very good filming, enjoyed that👍
  11. Wouldn't surprise me mate; he's got a lot of knowledge up there! I asked him on RCC if he was ever going to make one of his own ESC's with an aux function but unfortuately he didn't think so. Having two options on a drag brake via the tx is so brilliant on the Mamba's.
  12. Wish I had somewhere to run one of these rigs, they look so capable. What sort of price would I expect to pay do you think?
  13. I had the same Castle motor and Sidewider 4 in my Bomber which crawled pretty well for non sensored. Really wanted the Castle slate (?) but can't find them, or couldn't a few years back.
  14. Toyolien is selling his custom SSD Trail King which looks the absolute nuts. It really is a work of art. Someone needs to buy it quick to stop me staring at the damn thing and clearing shelf space.....................
  15. Soldering iron should do it for you; leave it on a minute before having another go; otherwise the dremel is your best bet. If it's all rusted to oblivion you'll probably want to strip the whole thing down anyway won't you? I'd bet the bearings will be looking worse for wear in those axle shafts😬
  16. Looks awesome; where's the bed from? Specific to the Carisma or?
  17. Great picture and looks a top spot to tail; whereabouts is it @Egsise? Nice paint job on her as well
  18. The 109's look way more military (put an action man alongside it lol) but the Beasts will out peform those and look the right size as well. I think the 109's actually a tad big? Those Beasts look the perfect size to me:)
  19. Do you think it possible to fit an interior (proper one) if the battery moved somewhere?
  20. That looks terrific mate, really good job. Considering you only started brazing recently I think you've done yourself really proud there [emoji106] Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  21. I read the 3 pages of a build over on RCC yesterday. The guy turned it into a real crawler but had to make significant changes (ar60 axles for example!). When done he thought it crawled better than most rigs he's built and I get the impression that's quite a lot! I was interested in this as a trail / crawler but I think the additional cost of replacing 'bits' to make it good at crawling would push the price right up, probably nearing £800 when all said and done. I'm sure you're going treat her as she's supposed to be @.AJ.😀 Loving the body though; might just get one of those and pretend it's a Deadbolt!
  22. I really want to get my hands on one of these; so many possibilities for modding (be rude to keep it stock!). Wish they had a UK distributor though, would make it so much easier. Good idea upgrading those gears, surprised they're plastic to start off! Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  23. Forgot to ask where you ordered it from @.AJ.?
  24. Didn't take too long to arrive did it @.AJ. Keen to see how that chassis is going to look with the transmission installed; which presumably you'll have done by around lunchtime?🤪 How does the body feel? Good quality?
