  1. Not a bad look that with the gold screws, good luck with your build bud & I hope everything goes well with your dog.
  2. That's a mad story, glad you got it back, also the mystery of how it got back to the uk. Would love to find out.
  3. That looks awesome bud, is it a kit or have you built it from scratch ?. Would love to see it in action. also instead of double posting I'll add my bit here. I've refitted the old flywheel (no shoes or bell) back on my engine ready to test it on the starter box I've got on the way. Also a bit of advice i want to run my engine on 20-25% nitro, but I can't get any til the end of the month. Would it be ok just to test the engine (novarossi .21 4B plus) on 15% or should I just wait til I get the other fuel ??.
  4. Welcome to the forum BS, I'll check your vids/photos out later.
  5. Welcome to the forum bud, I'm hinting to the mrs that I want an outback for xmas. But I'll probably have to buy it myself on the sly. Have fun with your new car bud.
  6. That's one awesome looking machine, hats off to you for building something like that. Would love to see a video of it in action. Oh & welcome to the forum too bud.
  7. Welcome to the forum bud, there are some experienced users on here so any questions just ask ?.
  8. I'll have a look for it now, send me some pics bud & I'll let you know what I need. Nice one.
  9. Nice one bud let me know what you've got. I've not really thought about the pbs, but would use it as the standard set up is limited. I have got a set of extenders so that's good to know. What shell have you fitted bud ??
  10. With the shell off. It's definitely going to be a good practice racer, it's a solid strong platform. The novarossi engine set up should make it shift, instead of the standard 47 tooth spur gear, it fitted with a lightened losi 50 tooth & 14 tooth lightened clutch bell. Can't wait to get it going.
  11. There it is fitted with the old shell (which I hate), I'm hoping to get the newer TQ2 shell soon. Almost there now, I've got a starter box sorted which should be here this week. Things to order: Flywheel, glow plugs & fuel im thinking 20 - 25% nitro ?? Things to fit: Fuel lines, fuel filter & exhaust seals. Then it's down to the tuning & setting up part.
  12. I'm after certain hobao parts for my hyper 7 & my winter project Thought I'd ask on Here before I start buying them of eBay etc. I'll update the thread when I find i need other parts. My build is gonna be an on road car like the VT/GTB but using the hyper 7 (nitro) platform. Can't see it not working. wheels, solid black with/out tyres black side guards Differential houses x3 Rear shocks Complete steering set up. Servo saver, top plate etc. Diffs, standard or spider front top plate.. standard, alloy or carbon Engine mount plate Front/rear hubs front alloy knuckles Rear chassis brace newer shape 7 shell
  13. for stuff I wanted shipping is just under 14 dollars. Wonder what the tax will be (never ordered from the usa) as that's still a lot cheaper.
  14. I think your right, I've just had a seconded look & it may be free shipping is only usa. I'll try ordering now.
  15. I've just been looking on the net for hyper 7 parts & came across dollarhobbyz & their selling hyper parts from 99c, up to 99% off. Disc brakes, centre diff mounts & linkage 99c, shame it's usa only other wise i could of got most of what I needed for my second hyper. anyway it's an heads up for any members that live across the pond.
  16. I noticed that when my hyper 7 is fully turned the wheels are rubbing on the arm. So I've took the dremmal to them & removed some material from them, so no more rubbing now, think it's because it's fitted with 22 degree hub holders. Thats my guess anyway. I've also fitted the engine mounts back on with new bolts. Need to sort a new flywheel out & it's ready to go.
  17. Here's my hyper 7 it's almost ready to run i need to get a new flywheel & then the engine can can be fitted & hopefully get it running in the next couple of weeks. I can then start on my ST winter project. parts fitted alloy spoiler platform Alloy chassis braces F/R alloy servo brace carbon centre brace carbon servo holder Hong Nor shocks Cnc towers F/R 22* hub carriers spider diff in rear Losi smart centre diff with lightened 50 tooth spur .21 novarossi 4b plus fitted with a 41021 header & 9901 pipe with a 36000 cooler. 14 tooth lightened clutch bell (worn) Parts needed New wheels & tyres Flywheel 3/4 pin Clutch shoes 14 & 15 tooth clutch bells Newer style shell Better servos
  18. A couple more pics (can only seem to add one of two sometimes ??) & some info on whats fitted, what I replaced etc. I brought this a few months ago to be my practice racer as it was already fitted with the .21 engine & a few upgrades too. The plan was to give it a quick strip down replace any worn parts & get it on the track. However due to a few personal problems & the car needing a bit more work then first thought i decided to gather as many spare parts that I could (thanks to Wrighty8766 who sorted a lot of parts) & do a full rebuild project. So starting with a new silver chassis & brand new screws for about 95% of the car, (old one was a dark grey) the first thing that was changed was the black receiver/battery box instead of the old horrible grey version. I then upgraded all the old turn buckles for the newer silver ones (no more having to remove them to adjust them) & replaced all e clip fittings with nut & bolts. Next the diffs were serviced, in the rear is a spider diff which just needed a clean, fluid & new bearings were fitted & is silky smooth & silent. Fitted in the centre is a losi smart diff with a 50 tooth lightened spur gear, so this has a clean, slightly stronger springs fitted. I fitted brand new diff mounts which had to be skimmed due to the losi diff being slightly shorter. The front diff is just the standard hyper diff (though I do want to fit an other spider or the losi front smart diff) so gave that a service but also housed it into a new diff box & fitted new drive cups & bearings, this has made it a lot quieter now as it was pretty loud before. I'll add more progress & pics later.
  19. I'm also running a 9901 pipe on mine too & a 41021 header. I had my build thread moved to here from the main section, I've got a few pics up atm. I did have to strip it again yesterday as I'm running a losi smart diff in the centre & it needed shimming a bit more. I've got a fair few pics to upload & more info on what parts have been fitted & that. Should have them up by tomoz You've done a good job with the shell though bud, I'm not to fond on hyper 7 shells so think I'll be fitting a different one. It will be a forward cab version though.
  20. Looking good that bud, love the colour scheme on the shell. What pipe & manifold you got fitted bud ?. I'm about 80 % done building my hyper 7 now, I'm running a novarossi .21 4B plus in it.
  21. Get that nitro savage sorted & take it for a bashing, been waiting ages to see that ?.
  22. I've had this thread moved to the gallery, thought it be better here instead of the main forum section & I can show my progress on my two hypers. I'll upload my progress pics later with info. I'm still not sure if I want my second project car to be the hyper VT on 6s/nitro or the hyper ST running a .36 nitro engine ???.
  23. I've had to use my dremmal to cut into them & used a straight head screwdriver to get them out, I've got two out & I'm gonna do the other two today. It has cut into the chassis slightly but it hasn't weakened it. I'll definitely be using different screws when I refit them. I'll let you know if I find any bud.
  24. I've done a bit the weekend to my hyper 7 (I'll add pics to my thread as soon as it's been moved to the gallery). So I've sorted all the electronics out, however after i had screwed the lids down on the covers i realised I'd forgot my fail stop, so that will be done today. I've set the servo's up, think I might need a stronger one for steering. Brakes have been adjusted & fitted 3 new pairs of brake pads. Fuel tanks now fitted & I think that's it for the car. I'm about to start on the engine, I've had to cut the the 3 pins of the flywheel as I couldn't get to the nut properly & it was well stuck with loctite. Need to clean the manifold & pipe as there's burnt fuel on them.
