Personally I think the FTx. Although I would buy the brushed and upgrade to brushless seperately to get a better system. Probably less cost that way too

I can’t make up my mind, was set on a Wheely king and then the axial cropped up. Do I get the Hpi and use the spare cash on upgrades or do I get the axial, just cos the bodies and tubes are gorgeous, but then I wouldn’t wanna trash the body either, help! Owners of either, pros and cons please?
-
So to start off I don’t own either, yet. Assuming you weren’t looking at price differences etc. If you could pick one scale crawler to buy what would it be? I’m torn between scx10-2 or a trx-4. (I don’t want a land rover so would be a bronco trx4) Now my preference so far has to be the axial, not going to lie. But to be honest that’s just based off YouTube videos I’ve watched. In the next couple of months or so I’m gonna make a purchase and just wondered people’s pros and cons of either please. Thanks in advance ladies and gents.

I’ve been a walk round the lake a few times and a quick blast over the rocky beach etc. Over the back (other side of golf course) there’s some woods, and keep walking there’s some decent trails as its situated on trans pennine trail

I know I’m extremely late to the party here but I’ve just recently bought a stampede xl5 so this thread is a goldmine of information to me. Thanks

Thanks, look nice them in red, gonna have a look.

Hey all, any recommendations on a 2.2 wheel and tyre combination? Struggling on a decision just looking at pictures online. My local shop has no off road, never mind crawler tyres what so ever, actually no off road spares what so ever which is weird considering they sell the trucks to start with.. see loads on fleabay from China, any good? Or just pick from modelsport or such? Tia

So it’s not great and not complete but I’ve tried to change my colour scheme up a bit. (My painting skills are non existent so please excuse the smudging). I know it’s gonna chip off when damaged but I like It better than I did to start with. drivers helmets are sharpie coloured as I don’t have the painting technique for anything that small. Just waiting for my payday and I’m after some new wheels and tyres. Any recommendations on that front ? Also Swapping out the esc receiver as I think I’ve already buggered it.. just been for a walk up a few trails. First proper outing with new servo, driveshafts, motor and bumper brought back a bit. Absolute dream now. Slowly but surely new bits to add and it’s exciting times. Goes up old quarry sides with ease. The only thing bugging me now is the colour, hence the mud will stay on the body! Otherwise it’s a bath all around cos as expected I did end up sliding half way down a hill on mi bum -

NEED HELP... drive shaft issues, keeps popping out, looking at replacements is there any that would fit, preferably better than the stock ones. Looking at measurements, may sound stupid but how do I measure the stock ones. Is it fully extended or? thanks in advance -

I’ve un hinged the shell but I am gonna move the bumper back taking inspiration from earlier in this thread... think I’m gonna look at a servo next week as I’ve watched a few videos of different stuff now and I’m seeing the stock one as quite poor. I’ve took out my led lights as they were flickering anyway and irritating me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
FTX Mauler Rock Crawler Owners Thread

Just bought one of these last week for my first rc. Absolutely love it, so much fun already and I’ve only run it 3 times! Done a quick flick on a some YouTube videos and stuff and not many have bad to say about this. I thought this seemed cheap to me compared to others but I can’t complain for the money. I’ve read a few bits am I right in thinking I have a few upgrade options Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Firstly, hello to all. As the title suggests I am completely new to all this and have decided in my late twenties to get my first rc car. I know absolutely nothing about anything rc related but can’t wait to get stuck in and learn. So, long story cut off.. I’m after some advice, I’m looking at making my first purchase in then next 10 days or so, I’d like something for off road as I have loads of woodland areas around me to play in. A friend said I could do with multiple batteries so it’s not all over in a flash. I have a budget of around £200 - £250 with spare batteries and a decent charger etc. All in. What are some things I should be looking out for ? Cheers for reading, Sam
