  1. Lot's of M03s on google, pretty common chassis. Post a pic up of what you've got and one of us Tamiya fans will be able to tell you what it is 👍
  2. Thats really helpful thank you, just what I needed. Let's get this SMT10 ripping!
  3. Thanks i'll have a look into those. The C rating with brushed setups seems a bit confusing to me but i'll take the higher the better
  4. Hi all, I'm looking for a 3S Lipo to use for testing in my SMT10 and Slash. Both are brushed and not running too hot a setups. Not sure if i'll stick with 3S so not too fussed on overall quality, I just want it to be safe. Used or recommendation for new appreciated. Located Maidstone Kent. Thanks, Andy
  5. Have you checked completed ebay listings? You can turn it on as a search option, can be very helfpul
  6. Hi all, Selling my wife's KA at the moment. It's been lovingly cared for and is like new. It's on Ebay too if that helps. 1 lady owner Years MOT Part service history £30 tax Zetec spec 2013 Asking for offers around £4500
  7. Hi Tim, There's a guy who runs my club called Ben who runs Slide Dynamics RC. You should be able to find him on fb, I think his website is updating. He's the UK man for MST stuff and will hook you up. He's currently at the world championships but will be back soon. Tell him Andrew sent you 👍
  8. Hi Tim, I personally like the RWD 3Racing Sakura D4, but these are a bit old hat now. The MST RMX2.0s is popular, as is the Yokomo YD2. All are RWD, this is the norm now. This means you need a good Gyro, servo and ideally a sensored brushless system (most use a 10.5 turn motor). It's a costly game, so it all depends on if you just want some fun skidding in a car park, or to be competitive on an indoor track at a club. If you just want cheap fun, then a Tamiya 4WD drifter is a laugh, if you want something more realistic, RWD is the only way to go 👍
  9. I think Eagle Racing used to do conversions. If you plan on drifting at a club you might be better off buying a RWD kit like an MST RMX2.0. Can work out cheaper.
  10. Not a problem, all the best with the racing 👍
  11. It depends on your club rules but yeah it should be. The kamtec kits are all based on these anyway. Mardaves are the originals. Usually the clubs run to a set of construction rules that you have to adhere to. Things like bumper design, speed controllers, motors etc. Top tip is put washers under the front of the front arms to get a bit more caster angle Just general lubrication goes a long way on these. Great little cars and really good fun
  12. I used to race these as 'Hot Rods' indoors on an oval circuit. That's a Mardave V12 chassis with the longer rear body mount plate. There's a few little adjustments you can make to get them running lovely. Bangers are great fun, but I preferred the less contact Hot Rod class. Kamtec are great for spares 👍 If you need any info let me know!
  13. If you want these sorts of shells in the UK, Ben at SlidedynamicsRC should be able to help you. He's the UK rep for most of this stuff. He has a facebook page for contact. Ben Houckham is his name 👍 Tell him Andrew sent you 😂
  14. Front sway bar helped mine a lot for handling. My drive shafts seem fine so far but it hasn't had a lot of use to be fair.
  15. Good find 👍 I have a 13.5 brushless in mine but it's not that quick to be honest. Handles well for what it is though, these are great fun.
  16. I'd also be interested, i'm based in Maidstone. I know there is a club that runs out of Folkestone, I think they are active on the Kent Crawlers facebook page.
  17. I do vinyl cutting if that helps. I'm on facebook, @Style92UK
  18. Selling my old AX10 as I never use it now I have my scaler. This is the original AX10 release, box standard if I remember correctly. I think I cut/removed the tyre foams so they compress nice but thats about it. Includes both shells, and some spare stickers and manual. Has a Tamiya silver can motor fitted purely to hold the pinion, no other electrics included. Good condition overall having had very little use. Some marks underneath and the grey shell has splits/holes by the rear post mounts. Pinion grub screw is a bit iffy. Good truck overall though and very capable. Ideally i'd like collection from Maidstone Kent, but I am willing to post if someone is genuinely interested and price is good etc. I'd like £130 for it as you don't see these a lot now. Advertising here before eBay.
  19. You just can't beat the original box art colours
  20. Yeah a kit would be great, I just stripped this fully anyway so made my own kit! Required a lot of cleaning Thank you, I think i'm going to try and stick with as much standard stuff as I can for now until things start to wear out or snap. Fingers crossed it actually runs
  21. Here’s my new (to me) SMT10. I bought this off a member on here and I don’t think he’ll mind me saying it was in a bit of a sorry state. I did a full strip down, clean and rebuild, replacing any worn parts as I went. I’ve added a few bits inc the all important wheels, it also now has... - Metal transmission - Clod tyres - Home made BKT decals - Home made side panel decals - 13.5 brushless motor - High torque servo Next thing to do is run it! Anything that breaks will get upgraded as we go. Can’t wait to give it some stick... It dwarfs my drift car
  22. These are now on ebay with bids so this can be closed.
  23. Thank you for your help, my wheels came from DMS originally. I have Jconcepts wheels running clod tyres, but I think the JC Firestorms might be a better option eventually. I've finished the diffs now and they seem better now I have the gaskets installed so fingers crossed. Was your sun uva digger the one I was following before with the airbrushed body? Very nice truck I have to say. I'm hoping to restore the body I have from this used Grave Digger a bit with some light tinkering but it will never be perfect. Good runner though I think!
