  1. Many thanks @ChrisT i will take a look, the esc you mention is it the 1060 Quickrun.
  2. Thanks @Bajadre for the reply, I am trying to keep it all Tamiya in this build, i already run a Hobbywing brushless combo in my TRX4 and did consider going that route but decided i want to see all Tamiya in the car as i have done with all the hop-ups.
  3. Hi All, What would you all recommend with regards to upgrading the standard motor included in the TA02SW Black edition and also a speed controller, i was going to go brushless but decided to stay true to the build and stick with Tamiya brushed but unsure what there is these days, when i was young and first started in the hobby the Tamiya Black and Technigold was all the rage but i think things will have changed since then. Many Thanks Tim
  4. Thanks for the link but i am looking to purchase a original one that came with the kit.
  5. Hi All, Looking for a TRX4 Kit assembly manual hard copy, i have tried Traxxas but to no avail and scoured e-bay with no luck, so if anybody has one they wish to part with please let me know i would be most grateful. Many Thanks Tim.
  6. Just taken a look at both MST and Yokomo and must admit they do look very different compared to the Tamiyas but as hard as i try i do not appear to be able to track them down in the UK, are they only available from the likes of RC Mart. Thanks
  7. Thanks for all you input guys, i did look at a Sakura some time ago when i first considered drifting but never followed it up. There is no tracks near to me that i am aware off (a little place called Thornton outside of Blackpool) but like everything i do i never i never do it by half so would probably look at building something more on the competitive side, i have already narrowed my radio down to either a Sanwa or KO ProPo 😀
  8. Hi All, I have been out of the hobby for some years now but fancy getting back into it with a list of cars i wish to build so i thought i would start with a drift project but unsure which way to go, i was initially looking at the Tamiya TT-02D but i have seen there are many alternatives out there, also all the tech has come a long way with the likes of brushless technology, Li-Po battery packs etc and of course the radio units themselves. Can anybody offer me some advice as to what would be a good chassis to start with along with all the necessary electronics. Many thanks in advance.
